Sam's p.o.v..........
Officer James and I got to the hospital and we walked through the door to find a nurse whose name tag says "Rita" she smiles at us "How can I help you?" "Um, this is Sam, and she has bruises all over her arms. I'm worried" James tells her "Ok well, we'll take care of her, you can wait in the waiting room, we'll fill you in if needed" Rita says as she takes me to a room "So....can I see your bruises?" She asks I lift up my sleeves "They look pretty bad.....Sam have or are you being abused?" "Uh, well I have, my mom, used to before she uh, killed herself, she drank a lot.....so yeah" I stutter "How long for?" "Since I was 5, I'm 14 now, so 10 years" I tell her "Where's your father?" She asks "He left us....when I was 5" I mumble "Oh, honey I'm sorry" Rita hugs me it felt awkward "It's fine, my one best friends family thinks of me as their own, they've always helped me...and my other friends mom toke me in. So it's kinda like I have a new life now" I explain she nods "I'm just glad you're alright" She smiles I smile back
Time skip...........
"Sam!" I hear Maya yell as she walks in "Help me M" I whisper "Why?" Riley asks "Y'know how I feel about hospitals" I tell her "Oh right" She mumbles I nod "Yeah" I roll my eyes "Officer James noticed my bruises...he brought me here" I tell them "He used to be friends with my dad...he heard about my dad leaving.... And he knew about my moms passing" "Woah that's a lot" Matthews adds I nod "You ok honey?" Mrs Matthews asks "I'm fine, Mrs Matthews" I tell her she smiles and I smile in return
