i've noticed i talk to simon more then i do my friends i've known for a long time,
ethan and harry have slightly noticed my absences and tobi makes sure simon is involved in everything.
simon still sits on his window seal next to me in class,
still learning.
the bell for the end of 5th period went and i gathers all my things as simon hopped down from his spot.
as we walk down the hall i lean in a little closer to simon,
so we're not touching but i whisper.
"hey si, wanna catch a movie tonight? tobi is taking the boys and wants to know if we want to tag along"
"sure, what movie?" he asks smiling,
"air buddies,"
"are you fucking five?"
"shut the hell up, air bud was a good movie!" i whisper a little to loud and gain a few looks.
"ok smart guy, i'll go" simon laughs,
"you won't regret it"

we walk into the cinema with out popcorn and drinks,
"josh why do you get so much popcorn" harry whines as he pouts at me.
i hear simon chuckle beside me,
"because i'm a big man little one" i joke as i mess up his hair,
"fuck off" harry mutters as he joins a row with ethan.
"god damnit i'm gonna have to third wheel" i hear tobi huff behind me as i let simon in front of me then tobi walls in behind me,
"shut up" i roll my eyes.
as the trailers go by simon's hand creeps closer to mine,
i wait for the movie to start so the room is fully black and i grab onto his hand.
"thanks josh,"
"anytime simon"

when we got home from the movies simon lay on my bed ranting about how good the movie was while i mess around on my laptop,
"what you looking at?" simon asks as he gets up and looks over my shoulder.
i point the words out on my screen;
"teenager hit by truck, died at scene"
simon reads further down,
"30 days ago a teenager, simon minter was hit by a truck on 11th avenue"
simon keeps reading and looks at me,
"just saying but they couldn't have chosen a uglier picture could they;"

"don't say that josh, your wish may come true" simon grabs my hand and smiles,
"hey simon, i've done a little more research and i was wondering.."
"wondering what, josh?"
"i was wondering if you wanted to visit, your grave"
