Class 12 was way more peaceful and better than the previous year - we all would agree to this after spending six months into the year. There was a lingering nostalgia of the recklessness of class 11 and the terrifying feeling of the impending Board exams later this year, but everyone was looking forward to get out of high school in few months of time.

Ishan got taller. Like really tall.

He was a weird one, really. Give him eight months and he grows tall, falls in love and kisses like crazy - of course, not in school. Thank God we didn't have close circuit cameras in the changing room of the school else we both would have been kicked out by now for that day.

In fact, a lot changed in eight months. Even Tuhina got taller, just two inches shorter than me much to her delight. Divya and Nisha got closer, and now my bitch had finally admitted to have a thing for the savage.

But I know her. Divya is in love, I'm sure about that.

And now, no one called Nisha by her real name anymore. I think even she had forgotten that.

Afzal was having fun interviewing and interacting with celebrities but I think he was just interested in their dresses and gave them tips if it went with their personalities. He was weird like that.

My sister still got pissed whenever Afzal's personality-come-wardrobe obsession came up but the Head Girl and the Interact President were representing the school in high profile things making us proud (even if I didn't understand half of that shit). They kicked it off really well as a team. But Tuhina still kept up to her playgirl persona.

God knew what Manish was up to cause everytime we saw him, he seemed to sport a devilish grin plastered on his face. If my suspicions were correct, then it was related to mine and Tuhina's upcoming birthday but I wasn't expecting much since it was Manish. Mwahahaha, I was still mean and evil about him. So was he.

Preeti and Shivam broke up. Or so I've heard. Riyaaz and Shivam weren't the best of friends either anymore. They both had passed the final exams though. Riyaaz just sat beside the slimeball because our class was packed and nobody wanted to swap seats with him. I had noticed him staring away at our direction blankly. Maybe he got tired of being evil with Shivam. Even though Ishan never noticed, his ex-crush hardly ever smiled these days, not even at the jokes cracked by the teachers in class.

That left me and a very virtual Yash. Tuhina showed me his profile on facebook. I must say, he was quite a looker himself and if I was ever given a choice to date between myself and him, I would definitely choose him.

Well, me? I just remained the same old jerk according to Ishan, but I'd say I was a better and happier person now. And of course, there was my Cricket too. In fact, I was in a crucial match right now.

"Tuhin?"

Ishan looked at me as if I'd gone crazy as I burst into the changing room. Crazy, I might as well be. Without wasting another second, I attacked his lips, pinning him against the wall behind. My hand involuntarily tugged at the hem of his t-shirt as our lips moved in perfect sync. Practice really made a kiss perfect.

I was almost on my way to slip a thumb under his t-shirt to feel his soft bare skin, but his hands stopped me. He slowly and gently broke the kiss and took my face in his hands. The sudden rush of adrenaline had somewhat subsided so I didn't try to break into his privacy again.

"What happened? Why are you so worked up?" he was smiling and blushing but at the same time you could see the concern in his eyes.

"I got selected for the CAB camp this year," I breathed heavily.

"I knew you would!" his eyes grew wider with acknowledgement. That made my heart ache to even think of leaving him. "That's a great news, Tuhin!"

"NO!" I cried out. "It's not great! I have to travel around for matches! I'll have to leave Kolkata after the Boards."

He made me sit on one of the benches and patted my head like I was a kid throwing tantrums.

"So? Isn't that supposed to be good? You'll be playing for the State soon, you'll be earning money, you'll be building a good career out of it!"

"I know, I want to. In fact, I need to do it. But," I looked sideways at him. "Won't you forget me?" My voice was small. I should have seen this day coming. I would be too busy with my game and maybe he would find someone better than me.

"Tuhin," he groaned. "If you weren't leaving, I definitely was. Remember my thing at Delhi?"

Oh, that thing too. Of course, it was bound to happen.

"We'd anyway have an LDR."

"What's an LDR?"

"Long Distance Relationship, idiot! What would you do without me? You should carry an urban dictionary wherever you go without me."

I stayed silent, staring off into space.

"I'm sure we'll work it out."

I nodded.

"You okay now?"

Now I shook my head sideways."Can I kiss you again?"

This time it was softer and gentlier.

Wiping his lips, he said, "You are always so high on hormones."

"Oh, you love it."

"Yeah definitely," he smirked. "But your mood swings are hard to get used to. One moment you're sad and insecure. Snap! Next moment you're horny!"

"Can't keep my hormones in check when you are around, " I laid on the bench, resting my head on Ishan's lap who ran his fingers through my hair.

"I love you," I said happily.

"I know," he replied.

Yeah, I knew. Ishan was annoying at times but being in love with my best friend was the best thing I'd done so far.
