"I'll figure it out You two gotta be able to reach me and Phil on the road I love saying that on the road"mom says I rolled my eyes once again

"Very romantic"Bella says I rolled my eyes

"Whatever"I said just as Phil leaves the house carrying me and Bella's suitcases

"If you call crappy motels backwater towns and ballpark hot dogs romantic"he says He puts his Phoenix Desert Dogs baseball hat on Rene's head with a kiss he heads to the old station wagon to load the luggage while Rene slips her arm through Bella's and mines clinging to us as we walk to the car

"Now you know if either of you change your mind I'll race back here from wherever the game is"mom says I gave her a tight smile
Seeing her strained expression telling me what a great sacrifice that would be

As I looked out the window earphones in and music blasting we soon approach the house I immediately picked the room on the bottom floor letting Bella be stuck upstairs with our dad my own personal way of torturing her I start to settle in placing my clothes in the drawers of my dresser I had just began putting up my tops when I heard a honk coming from outside I went to the door seeing a faded red truck Bella comes to stand beside me I glanced at him

"Bella Alex you remember Billy Black"dad says I shoved my hands in my pockets

"Glad you're both finally here Charlie hasn't shut up about it since you told him you were coming" billy says

"Keep exaggerating I'll wheel you down the hill"dad says

"Right after I ram you in the ankles"
Billy takes several rolls at dad who dodges the younger guy shakes his head at our fathers as he shyly approaches Bella I rolled my eyes heading to grab my bag from the police cruiser

"I'm Jacob We made mud pies together when we were little kids"Jacob introduces himself

"Yeah... I think I remember...Are they always like this?"Bella asked 

"It's getting worse with old age"he tells her dad then pats the hood of the truck  gaining my attention

"So what do you think of your homecoming gift?"dad asked i rolled my eyes

"No way The truck is for me?"my sister asked

"Just bought it off Billy here"dad says

"I rebuilt the engine and..."she cuts Jacob off

"It's perfect!"She beams She rushes to the truck Jacob eagerly joins her

"Oh great the infamous Bella swan gets her own car on her first day back yay so much fun"I said before going back inside

A knock on my door wakes me up

"What?"I asked opening my door

"Morning....I'm leaving in 5 minutes"she says I tucked my hair behind my ear and nodded

"Fine"I said before shutting my door I pulled in a pair of jeans and a long sleeved black shirt I curled my hair before grabbing my bag and shutting it I met Bella at the truck she pulls off heading towards the school she reaches in her bag handing me the pop tarts

"Keep your eyes on the road"I screeched

"Alright alright...you're so paranoid"she says laughing I scoffed laughing as well the first time I actually had a conversation with her

"I am not paranoid"I said looking at her

"Yeah you are"she says shaking her head I looked at her

"How?"I asked

"You just completely freaked out because I took one hand off the wheel and dug in my purse"she says I laughed nodding

"Okay maybe I am paranoid a little bit"I said she glances at me once more

We pulled up into the school's parking lot I pulled on my beanie and looked at Bella as she places her hood on she gives me a tight smile I got out the truck and a kid appears in our path

"You're Isabella and Alexia Swan the new girls Hi I'm Eric The eyes and ears of this place Anything you need Tour guide lunch date shoulder to cry on"he says me and Bella share a look what the hell?

"I'm kind of the “suffer in silence” type"she says

"Good headline for your feature I'm on the paper and you're news baby front page"Eric says I immediately shook my head
