Just as Edward and Bella were about to walk away I gasped my eyes glossing over but then I realized my mistake because now James had turned around eyes locked on Bella and I

"You brought a snack"he said Edward springs in front of Bella and i baring his teeth A truly menacing feral snarl rips from his throat James growls back then the Cullens rush into position behind Edward Laurent and Victoria line up behind James

"The girl is with us I think it best if you leave"Carsile said

"I can see the game is over. We'll go now"Laurent said but James doesn't back down his eyes burn holes into my memory

"James?"Laurent called his name he retreats pulling his mate into his side as he smelled her hair as they walked off

"Get Bella out of here go"Carsile said Edward and Bella quickly leave

"Oh my god I'm so sorry"I said

"It's not your fault"Jasper said

"It is if I wouldn't have gasped...." I trailed off remembering why I gasped

"What is it? What did you see?"Alice asked

"I saw myself standing in front of a mirror with red eyes"I said

"Emmett take her home she needs some clothes for a few days it'll be alright"Esme said giving my shoulder a squeeze

"Are you okay?"Emmett asked as we got in his jeep

"I just made your life even more complicated didn't I?" I asked him he sighs before looking at me

"I didn't have much of a life before you there's no way I would change that I'm with you for better or for worse"he said I kissed his arm

Emmett drives quickly to the house and we both rush inside packing some of my clothes we met at the door where he cups my face and kisses me slowly he then pulls away

"I love you too"I said before Emmett then slings me onto his back

"Ready?" He asked i nodded tightening my grip he then speeds off as I hid my face in his neck

He sets me down in the back of Bella's truck where he looks at me

"I'm not gonna let anything or anyone hurt you"he said I nodded

"I know you can't leave me alone"I said he sits down

"It's dangerous for you to be out there with me"he said I shook my head

"If I'm not with you it'll be easier for him to Emmett I lied that's not all that I saw"I told him

"Then what?"he asked

"I saw myself standing in a room full of mirrors with red eyes and blood on my lips"I said as we pulled up into the house

"Cmon"he said picking me up rushing me and Bella from the truck to the house...but freeze when the door opens and Laurent exits They immediately take defensive positions but carsile appears

"He came to warn us. About James"he said They back down slightly

"I've grown tired of his games But he's got unparalleled senses Absolutely lethal I've never seen anything like him in three hundred years ... And the woman, Victoria, will back him. Don't underestimate her"he explained Carsile nods thanks Laurent looks at Edward  apologetic

"I'm truly sorry for what's been unleashed here" he said and he moves off disappearing into the woods I ran a hand through my hair as Esme wraps her arms around me

"Cmon"she says as she leads me to the garage The lights flip on to reveal a pristine garage the Volvo, the red BMW, a black Mercedes sedan, an SUV Everyone but Rosalie springs into action opening cupboards for supplies  cell phones, extra batteries, maps, portable GPS units, changes of clothes, cans of gasoline, etc. As they load up the vehicles

"I've had to fight our kind before. We're hard to kill"Jasper said

"But not impossible. We'll tear him up"Edward said I bit my lip and looked down

"We'll rip him apart with our hands, then burn the pieces"Emmett says I then looked at the car I just wanted to leave all of a sudden the cars engine turns on I gasped and jumped  away it shuts off again

"What the hell just happened?"Emmett asked looking at the Mercedes

"Emmett"Esme warned him

"I think Alex did that"Edward said

"That's impossible"Rosalie said

"Alex do you think you can do it again?"Carsile asked

"Carsile...."Carsile cuts Emmett off as I thought about just me wanting to leave the engine cuts on and then the headlights

"Look"he said

"That's amazing"Alice said grabbing my arm making it all shut off again

"Guys we still have to burn the pieces"Jasper said

"I don't relish killing another creature. Even a sadistic one like James"Carsile said

"If he doesn't get to one of us first"Rosalie said
