I sat on the bed as
Bella looks out at the fog the phone was on speaker

"If spring training goes well we could be living in Florida permanently"mom explains

"Please insert 25 cents to continue" I heard the phone operator

"Ma? where's your cell?"I asked her laughing lightly

"Ok I didn't lose my power cord It ran away Screaming I literally repel technology now"she says Bella smiles missing her mom I missed her as well I guess I did get the care free side from her

"Now tell me more about your school baby What are the kids like? Are there any cute guys? Are they being nice to you?"mom asked I smiled shaking my head

"They've all been really...welcoming"

Bella and I sit atop a table an open book in her lap But her eyes are on the arriving kids and the parking lot as they pull in She tells me she's waiting for Edward Jessica Angela Mike and Eric kick around a soccer ball nearby They wave Bella to join them but she smiles declining...and returns to watching for Edward

The days that followed me and the Cullen girls got closer Bella constantly looked for Edward but he never came the next day I wore a red shirt and dark jeans I sat at my lunch table reading my book Dracula I felt someone sit down beside me I looked over to see Alice and Rosalie

"Hey Alex"she says

"Hey Alice Rosalie"I said waving

"I want you to meet someone"she says pulling someone in front of her

"This is my brother Emmett"she says my eyes widened

"I....uh...hi"I said stuttering

"Hi"he says smiling he slides over my book looking at the cover

"Dracula"he says laughing lightly

"I know it's....kind of dark"I said shaking my head

"No not dark just strange that you're reading it"he says Alice and Rosalie had walked away

"You thought I'd be reading something about boy bands right?"I asked him he shrugs

"Possibly"he says I laughed lightly making him smile dimples slightly popping out

"May I?"he asked me gesturing to the seat

"Yeah sure"

I walked into chemistry seeing Emmett Cullen sitting at the table Alice and Rosalie sat at my table with Jasper leaving me to sit with Emmett I walked up to his table his head immediately snapped up and he smiled

"Is anyone...."Emmett laughs cutting me off

"You don't have to ask"he says I nodded blushing

"Thanks"I said sitting beside him on the stool I pulled out my book and began reading again

"Why are you so obsessed with these books anyway?" He asked I looked at him

"I don't know I've always been a fan of vampires"I said shrugging tucking my hair behind my ear

"Vampires?you don't actually believe those are real?"he asked I shrugged looking over at him

"I don't know but Anything's possible right?"I asked him his eyes seemed distant as he spoke

"Yeah"

Later that day I rushed towards the parking lot seeing a van speeding towards Bella's truck with her between them I looked over to see Edward by his Volvo and just like that when I blinked he was gone suddenly he was tackling Bella to the ground my eyes widened

I sat on the bench in the nearby park when I felt a presence by me I looked behind me to see Emmett

"How'd you get here so fast?"I asked him he shrugs

"I drove"he says I scoffed shaking my head and looked away

"Gonna try to convince me I'm crazy....Gonna threaten me?"I asked him he sighs

"No"he says I stood up turning to him

"When were you going to tell me?"I asked him

"When I was sure you could handle the truth"he says running a hand over his head

"You mean that you're a vampire that your entire family are vampires that your girlfriend is a vampire"I corrected him he raised his eyebrow

"Girlfriend?"he asked

"Don't act dumb Emmett"I said rolling my eyes grabbing my bag

"You think me and Rosalie are together?"he asked laughing lightly

"Well yeah....Stop trying to change the subject"I accused him pointing my finger at him

"Okay fine I'll tell you everything you wanna know....Just ask"he says

"Will you tell me the truth?"I asked him raising my eyebrow

"Yes"

"Are there others like you?"I asked him as we sat at the edge of the cliff

"Yeah we run into them from time to time"he days looking at me

"Are they good vampires or bad?"I asked him he furrows his eyebrows

"I thought all of us were the same"he says

"No you don't drink human blood and some do you're good their bad"I explained to him

"What if I'm not good what if I'm bad?"he asked me leaning in golden burning into my blue eyes

"No I don't believe that"I said shaking my head he leans back leaning against his hands he looks over at me

"Why is it so hard for you to believe that?" He asked

"You're not a bad guy maybe you have bad tendencies but you're not bad"I said he sits up straight his hands rests on my cheek he presses his forehead against mine closing his eyes

"What am I gonna do with you?"he asked opening them

"I don't know hopefully you won't drive me away"I said sliding my fingers over his free hand
