I ate my ice cream as Emmett laid on the bed reading a book after I finished I crawled in beside him I didn't say anything I just stared at him he looks up at me

"What?"he asked I closed his book as I took it from him and placed it on the nightstand before climbing onto his lap his hands grip my waist as I leaned in to kiss him he kisses me back almost instantly tightening his grip on my waist it hurt a little but it only made me kiss him back harder he then pulls away

Hearing a car pull up I got up and got dressed in a pair of jeans and a tank top with a leather jacket I pulled on my shoes and went outside where Emmett leaned against his jeep

"Hey"I said he laughs

"Hey"he said pulling me into a kiss he then pulls away

"Cmon we gotta get there before Edward and Bella"he adds

I watched as Emmett and Jasper prepared for the game Jasper tossed around the baseball bat and Emmett tossed the baseball around I walk towards him as Edward and Bella showed up he wraps an arm around me kissing the side of my head

"Good thing you're here We need a umpire"Esme said

"She thinks we cheat"Emmett said as we walked passed them

"I know you cheat. Call ‘em as you see ‘em, Bella"Esme said and no I wasn't talking to Bella

"It's time"Alice said as the thunder rumbled through the sky making me jump and Carsile welcomed me into his safe embrace the game went on without a hitch Rosalie was first

She smashes the ball with the aluminum bat It cracks like thunder and is followed directly by real thunder making me cheer her on The ball shoots like a meteor deep into the forest  rocketing through the trees Edward disappears after it

"That has to be a home run"Bella said glancing back at me as I stood with Carsile

"Edward's very fast"Esme said Rosalie darts around the bases almost a blur but Edward races out of the forest with the ball and whips it to home plate Esme catches it a millisecond before Rosalie slides in

"Yer out?"Bella said and Emmett cheers in victory I rolled my eyes as I hugged the older woman

"It's just a game"I told her next up is Carsile he hits the ball as another sound of thunder rumbles through the clearing making me jump again she holds me tighter

Edward and Emmett race for the catch diving 15 feet and colliding with such might that it sounds like enormous boulders falling They miss the ball Carsile is safe! They laugh and push each other making me shake my head next is Jasper who hits the ball Emmett climbs the tree catching the ball making me clasp my hands together as Edward laughs obviously having read my thoughts Rosalie then goes again but then Alice turns around and my eyes gloss over making me hold onto Carsile as I stumbled Carsile steadies me and I swore I saw myself standing in front of a mirror with red eyes Edward locks eyes with me for a moment

"Stop! I didn't see them..."Alice says as the rest of the Cullen's gather at home plate Emmett immediately grabs me from Carsile shaking me by the shoulders making me gasp as I blinked rapidly

"You okay?"he asked I wiped the tears from my face

"I'm not sure...."Alice cuts us off

"They're traveling so quickly..."Rosalie then cuts her off

"You said they left the county --" she cuts Rosalie off

"They did, but then they heard us...(looking at Edward) And changed their minds"she explained I hid my face in Emmett's chest

"Put your hair down -"Rosalie interrupts them

"Like that'll help. I could smell her from across the field"she said
Edward ignores Rosalie as he arranges Bella's hair

"Hey look at me"Emmett said I looked up at him

"Nothing's gonna happen okay?"he said I nodded

"Okay"I said still holding onto his shirt

"You trust me?"he asked grabbing my hands

"With my life yes"I said he nods

"Okay"he said pulling me back into his embrace we all then turned to the end of the forest

"I believe this belongs to you"the dark haired guy said He tosses the ball to Dr. Cullen who easily catches it and smiles politely.

"Thank you"Carsile said

"I'm Laurent. This is Victoria. And James" he introduced the blonde male and the fiery haired woman

"I'm Carsile and this is my family"Carsile said my face was pressed against his arm

"Hello"Laurent said

"I'm afraid your hunting activities have caused something of a mess for us"Carsile said

"Our apologies We didn't realize the territory had been claimed" he said

"Yes, we maintain a permanent residence nearby"Carlisle said

"Really? Well, we won't be a problem any more we're just passing through"he said

"The humans were tracking us, but we led them East you should be safe"the woman Victoria spoke

"Excellent"Carsile said

"So Could you use three more players?"Laurent asked as my hand slid into Emmett's he intertwines our fingers but Carsile says nothing

"Oh cmon just one game"Laurent said they all laughed lightly

"Sure why not?" Carsile said

"I don't like this one bit Edward"I said in my mind knowing he could hear me I saw him nod in acknowledgement

"Three of us were leaving you can take their place you bat first" Carsile said he tosses the ball but Victoria catches it I knew me Bella and Edward were going to leave

"I'm the one with the wicked curve ball"she said

"Oh I think we can handle that" Jasper said I glanced at him and suddenly I felt calm

"Oh"Laurent cheered

"we'll see"Victoria said as she turns and walks away
