"What now? Think you can trust them?"
"I think so." I replied hesitantly. Why would he ask such a question. "I mean, we had fun, we drank, we-"
"So?!" He replied laughing. "You think that will stop them from talking behind your back?"
"Yes," I replied. "I think they will."
"Can you please, for one second, get back to the real world? They've betrayed you before-"
"They said they wouldn't again! They promised!"
"Ohh! Oh, they promised!" He mocked. "Look, this is only for your own good. Don't put too much trust in them."
"Why?! Why can't a have a stress-free friendship?! I'm tired! Out of all people, you know how tiring this has been!"
"And you know out of all people that this is not the end."
I couldn't reply. How could I when I knew he was partially right?
I had enough , and I got away from the mirror.
