"Mommy! That's my sister?" Chandra said, pointing to Amaryllis's grave.
"Yes."
She bent down, laying a teddy bear gently near the flowers. "Hi, sissy!"
Blitz laughed snd messed up her hair. She ran to him, allowing him to scoop her up in her arms. I smiled and returned my gaze to the faded stone. Placing my hand, I felt the cold rock brush against my bare palm.
"I will see you some day, Amaryllis. Goodbye for now."
I nodded towards Blitz. "I'm ready to go."
"Okay. Let's get ice cream."
"Dinner first."
Chandra and Blitz groaned. "You're no fun!" Chandra whined. Me and Blitz mirrored knowing looks, smiling.
"Maybe we should buy some candy instead."
