I stopped at a red light and checked the time, 5:30pm.
As I wait for the light to change I touched my baby bump as a smile made its way to my face. I'm 3 months pregnant. I just found out today I'm having triplets!
I just pray that they would bring Matt and I closer seeing as he's been drifting away from me for a while now.
I couldn't help but to wonder what happened....?
I reached home just in time to see my mum Cora, Matt's parent Lisa and Nate and his sister Mollie arriving.
It's Friday today. Its the day we usually have family dinners.
We exchange greetings and went inside.
"I'm gonna go change", I told them and I heard a series of ok's and sure's.
Just as I opened the master bed room (our room) what I saw completely shattered me.
My husband and Lynn the person I once called best friend in an intimate position.
I couldn't help but to let out an ear piercing scream making them stop and the whole family rushing in wondering what happened, let's just say what they saw left them dumbfounded.
My mum and Lisa just broke down in tears.
"w-w-what are you doing here" Lynn stuttered.
What am I doing here-
-"I should be asking you that seeing as this is my house you traitorous bitch". I hysterically screamed at her.
"Don't you dare call her a bitch you worthless piece of Shit" Matt's voice boomed startling everyone.
Too stunned, I uttered "Me! While pointing at myself. " A worthless piece of Shit" I sobbed.
"Are you not" he questioned with so much venom in his voice, surprising me.
"Do you know what you're saying son"? Nate asked.
" I very much do" Matt countered
"Shut your trap up" Lisa yelled.
"She's your wife and has been for what -4 years? And don't forget she's pregnant with your baby" Mollie said deathly calm
"What baby? He deared to ask.
"What ever piece of Shit she's carrying in her sure as hell isn't mine" he continued.
"Are you accusing me of cheating!" I said no longer feeling pity for myself rather, angry at myself for ever trusting him.
"Well I'm not saying you didn't" came his immediate counter
"I want a divorce then you can go find the father of that Bastard your carry--
I didn't let him finish as I slapped him 'HARD' surprising every one including myself
"You had the audacity to cheat on me with my best friend, accuse me of cheating and humiliate me but I let you be".
"But never and I mean NEVER in your pathetic excuse of a life call my kids bastards you retarded piece of shit" I spazzed
"And as for you" I said pointing to Lynn, who had a smug look on her face.
" how long has this been going on? I asked.
" Oh not long really, just 3 years or so" she replied with a smirk playing on her lips as everyone's eyes widen
"I-so you've been having an affair for more than half the time we've been married" I stated in disbelief.
" Yup, oh, and we're getting married soon aren't we darling" Lynn said faking innocence looking at Matt.
"We sure are honey bunny" he replied looking at me giving me a look that says "I'm better than you"
By now all the tears in my eyes were dried out.
I straighten my posture and said in a voice that you wouldn't have believed had just been crying a while ago
"OK, good luck with your wedding and as for the divorce papers, we shall meet tomorrow with our lawyers to finalise everything".
"I'll come get my belongings tomorrow, Good day to you Mr. Powers, everyone" I nodded then turned to leave
Before I head out I saw pure shock written on everyone's faces, I just couldn't tell if it was because of Matt and I getting a divorce or how well composed I was after everything that just happened.
As I head out, my mum, Lisa and Mollie tried to persuade me to come stay at theirs to with I just shook my head and left, not for once looking back......
