I collapsed on the floor of the deck of where we were standing as the we saw the horizon come up and made the floating island even more spectacular. a short while later i got back up, i was now in my room with Wix hovering over my face she seemed worried. "are you alright? you fell after beating the sea beast?" she asked. "yeah, i'll be alright. i just didn't expect to have to fight so suddenly i didn't have enough time to prepare." i replied. "oh, OK" she said bringing her hopes back up and smiled. Wix left the room and left me to rest a little bit since we weren't going to attempt to sail till tomorrow morning. i had an entire day to relax. except i couldn't once I've fallen asleep and woken up i can't go back to bed right after. so i stayed up making things appear and testing more of my powers out. i even managed to make characters in my mind appear for real, but Wix and Gurd started getting suspicious of what i was doing in here and pretended to be asleep. once they were gone i figured i better do stuff more silent then making created fictional characters talk to me, which now sounds creepier thinking about it. i looked around the room, but nothing but weapon supplies were in here. there were tons of swords, axes, and spears scattered across the left side of the floor. i guess the kraken really did do a number on the boat then. i used my mind to make myself invisible and silent and crept out the deck to check on everyone. i noticed Gurd was patching up a part of the ship using one of those lifts for cleaning skyscrapers back home. he seemed to be putting wood over a giant hole in the ship. "i don't remember the kraken making a hole, though?" i thought i tried remembering what exactly happened last night but after going two full days without rest and then fighting a legendary creature i was too exhausted to think clearly. i went back to my room and passed out immediately. i was done doing stuff for today at least. Meanwhile somewhere in a dark forest inside a castle with purple clouds roaming the sky an organization was preparing a meeting. "honestly, i can't believe that idiotic fool got himself captured." a lady with a British accent in a formal white gown said. "is it that surprising, Lady Tomaki?" an old man said also with a British accent and in a real butler uniform, he was holding a tray with a lid over it standing next to Lady Tomaki. "YEAH! well i heard he got BEAT UP by some noob PACIFIST!" said a mysterious girl wearing a gray gym shirt without any sleeves and black shorts on. she had the very tomboyish attitude with an EXTREME vibe. the girl in the gym shirt was putting on some climbing gear starting with the helmet and working her way down to the shoes. "where do you think you're going Jesse?" Tomaki asked. "i'm going hiking. can't stay here with you LOSERS! you're a bunch of DOLLS who are AFRAID TO GET HURT!" Jesse said. "Lady Jesse, i'd advise you to stay here for the meeting about what we should do next." said the old butler. "YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME OLD MAN!" Jesse yelled. Jesse put her foot off the long dining table set for almost 20 guests. "i'm out of hear." Jesse said after making such a fool out of herself from yelling like that. "honestly, i'll never understand how other humans work." Tomaki sighed and began eating the food the butler had revealed from under the tray. "this steak is quite tasty butler, although ask the chefs to make sure it's not overcooked by even a second next time, OK?" Tomaki said. "yes, my lady." the butler took the tray after Tomaki had finished eating what she wanted from the meal and took the tray down the hall vanishing into darkness. suddenly a bunch of other people had started to arrive out of nowhere, while others just walked through the door. "well, it looks like almost all members of Crossed Lines is here, at least for our section anyway, there is still half our section that will not be attending, however." Tomaki said with a pleasant and calm look on her face. that calm look began to waver however as a man in all white from his hair to eye color to his pants, the only not white thing about him was his skin and shoes. he looked like a 20 year old Japanese man fixing his glove. "leader sir how uh, are you today?" Tomaki asked nervously at the man not even flinching or moving a muscle without confidence in his actions. "i'm fine Tomaki, now let us discuss a current event that has just recently happened. a few days back a new human appeared at a town and as far as we know he's american, that one was obvious. but we don't know the extent of his mental abilities and his alignment, so he could be against us or with us. however this man attacked our new arrival and was captured in the process." the man in all white had been showing pictures on a digital projector without any board of background. it just appeared out of nowhere in the center of the long thin dining table. there were a lot of gasps and mostly insults and laughter towards the man who was captured there were also some people who looked like this new arrival had peaked their interest. "now, i believe you all know what to do. if you run into this guy do not immediately assume he's no threat, but do not attack right away even if he refuses once do not, and i'll say it again DO NOT attack him unless you feel provoked enough to do so, understand?" the man in white asked. "good, now you're all dismissed continue where you were or were going to be and report anything you find, such as new arrivals and new news on the ones causing mayhem for us down in floafa." "um, sir? what do you mean by that last statement? what's going on in floafa?" a girl wearing a Japanese styled school uniform had her hand raised and looked a little nervous, her voice was innocent and had no traces of impurity around her, unlike a lot of the others. the only other ones who had an innocent aura around them were the man in white and Tomaki. "well, you see new recruit there are those who do not follow our beliefs in us controlling this world as the gods we rightfully are. they have been delaying our plans protecting the sector of the world on the bottom right of the map. their landmass is so small it's barely visible, but that's because only humans can get through the mist that surrounds it. legend says it holds a great power and mystery that will one day be reawaken by the chosen hero and his allies!" the man in white began using an evil laugh with his hands laid out evenly in the position like a maniac would do in movies. "um, OK sir, i think i understand now? i'll do my best *whispering* i guess?" said the school girl. the man in white stopped laughing and asked "what's your name new recruit?" "um, it's tomoe, uh sir?" said tomoe. "well then, tomoe no need to be formal my name is...wait we're missing someone?" the man in white looked around the room and found a seat empty. "um, sir Jesse is missing she didn't want to stay here and left." Tomaki had her hand shaking nervously raised into the air. "no, that is not who i'm talking about i already counted on Jesse leaving with her personality and attitude in mind. i invited 21 people to have a seat, we're missing Aito. anyone know where he might be? *whispers* the slacker." the man in white said. "sir, if i may." the butler was walking back from the dark hallway at the other end of the dining table and walked up next to Tomaki. "yes, go on." the man in white ordered. "sir, i had Mr. Aito pick up the groceries from the kingdom of layrule." the butler said putting another tray down in front of Tomaki and whispering "i hope this satisfies your desires my lady." Tomaki turned and said quietly "it better be nothing but perfection butler." and the butler began opening the lid to reveal another steak. "layrule, huh? you mean you sent that slacker all the way to the floating kingdom, or floating island as some have called it?" "yes sir," "well, let's hope he doesn't run into the new arrival just yet, we may have to excuse the new arrival if they brawl. as long as he doesn't die we'll let him off the hook." "excuse me sir, but who may you be talking about? if who dies sir?" asked the butler. "why Aito of course, after all he may be a slacker, but when he uses his powers for real, it rivals even my own." the man in white said cleaning some dust off of the table with a napkin from his pocket stitched onto his clean shirt. "ugh, disgusting so much dirt in here." the man in white thought. "again, you're all dismissed go back to your daily routines." the man in white flung his arm pointing toward the door and vanished completely without a single trace of him ever existing, even the virtual image on the table disappeared just as fast. everyone began leaving through teleportation, or just simply walked back out the door, they all had a new thing set in the back of their mind. some wanted to see why this new arrival is so special to be spared even once from defying them, others were thinking how they were going to get back to where they had been when they got the summons without a teleport. others, however simply ignored it for now and continued on like normal. "honestly, this brat kid better be worth the trouble to have that many members of Crossed Lines appear only to be told to not do anything at all!" Tomaki had completely shaken off her nervousness once the man in white had vanished, she went straight back to acting like her usual self. "um, i don't have anywhere to stay for the night. and i can't use my powers until morning after i get some rest. is it OK for me to stay here?" Tomoe had her hand raised shivering like during the meeting. "honestly, what do you think my mansion is, a pit stop?" Tomaki said. "oh, then never mind i'll just leave now then." Tomoe got up from her seat at the very end of the table and began walking towards the door when Tomaki got up pounding her hands flat on the table causing it to bounce up for a few seconds and then rest like normal again. Tomaki still had an angry face on grinding her teeth when she said "fine, you can stay." "oh, OK? thank you so much." Tomoe began walking away from the door and went further down the dark hallway towards one of many guest rooms. "honestly, i don't know why i bother. she probably wont survive the endless corridor anyway." Tomaki said leaving the table accompanied by her butler down the same dark hallway. "come on butler let's watch how well she can survive the madness." with that they vanished leaving the room completely empty. Meanwhile back with Jack and his new friends. "oh man, i feel like a truck just stopped by, hit me, drove off a bit and backed up for another round." i said now waking up to the next morning. "wake up sleepy head, or you'll miss the amazing moment when we start sailing up the waterfall!" Wix said jumping on my stomach like a trampoline, she was very excited for today for some reason. "come on, come on! you're gonna miss it!" suddenly the two twins came running in and excitedly said simultaneously "hurry you're gonna miss it mister!" they took my hand and began leading me out towards the deck to witness us sail up to the floating island, the kingdom. "all ready for us to go to the kingdom of layrule, say aye." Gurd said sounding like someone who would do that on vehicles like trains. "AYE!" everyone said except for me, i was still half asleep when they took me above deck. i watched as we began sailing right for one of the waterfalls that lead up directly to above the island. "well, we're all set let's go!" with that i got to see how we would get up to the island. two large wings folded out to each side of the boat and the mast began extending upwards with more and more flags coming out making the ship sail faster, the deck seemed to extend enough as more masts rose from from the ground. "we need to pick up enough speed to get into the air above the island." Gurd yelled over the waves which were starting to be pushed behind us. i looked up at the island and couldn't wait to see what would be in store for us next.
