Stiles tried to speak but only a soft wheeze escaped his throat. He glared at her and she let out an echoing chuckle. He felt his heart pounding in his ears and his hands were shaking. She watched as he struggled to regain control over his body.

"That's the thing I love about humans." She hummed now stepping closer to him, "you're so easy to manipulate."

"N-Noah." Stiles gasped out.

His baby was bundle in what looked like rags and his cheeks had tear streaks. Stiles just wanted to protect him, he just wanted his baby. She shushed Noah, but that only made him cry louder. Derek groaned from his spot on the floor and the fairy sneered at him. She kicked him in the stomach and Derek let out a loud wheeze losing his breath.

"You two just couldn't leave him." She stomped, "you just had to come find me."

"Let them go." Stiles saw Galaxy from the corner of his eye.

"You know I can't do that, baby brother." She scoffed and Galaxy's hands balled into fists.

"You can." He took a step closer and the Dark fairy hissed stepping back, "Stygian, please."

"Never." She held onto Noah tighter and Stiles could've sworn that he saw a tear roll down Galaxy's cheeks.

"Then you leave me no choice." He whispered his voice raw and about fifty other fairies appeared.

Her eyes grew wide and Galaxy lifted his arm up a bright pink light illuminating from his shaky hand. A rainbow of colors flooded the once dark gave and Stiles could feel himself regaining the ability to move. He crouched down to Derek's level where the wolf shook his head his eyes still closed.

"Der-"

"Grab Noah." Derek mumbled and Stiles nodded even though Derek couldn't see it.

Stiles rushed towards the screaming fairy and snatched Noah out of her now wrinkled hands. Stiles blocked Noah's eyes from all the bright light hugging him close to his chest. He moved back next to Derek who was fully conscious now and looking alert and ready to fight. Stiles pointed with his head towards the exit and Derek nodded looking a bit reluctant. They both ran out of the cave leaving the fairies to do their work.

"Is he okay?" Derek held Stiles close just in case something jumped out at them.

"I think he's cold." Stiles looked down at Noah his fingertips cool against Stiles.

"Okay, let's get him home." Derek nodded and Stiles gave him a wary smile.

Derek and Stiles were glad they had the nursery done at Derek's loft or their situation would have been even more complicated. The nursery was a light yellow, with a white crib, Derek had built a book case full of children's books, a rocking chair the sat nicely in a corner, a changing station that was directly by the crib, and he had bought two picture frames one with a picture of the pack and the other with just him and Stiles which he had placed both in the book case.

Stiles was speechless. For once Derek had made Stiles completely speechless without having to kiss him. Stiles opened the closet and found clothes he hadn't known Derek bought. Soft blankets were folded neatly in the crib and bottles were on top of the book case not even opened yet. Stiles looked back at Derek with a soft smile on his face.

"You big softy." Stiles still held onto Noah not ready to hand him over just yet, "when did you do all this?"

"Honestly?" Derek looked down at the floor and Stiles nodded.

"Yes, honestly." Stiles chuckled.

"About five months into your pregnancy after we went shopping." Derek sighed, "I wanted to surprise you and i still need to add the animals on the wall."

"Der, you're the sweetest grouch i know." Stiles pulled Derek towards him and Derek sighed.

"But I still need to buy a rug and make sure he has enough bottles and-" Derek started to ramble.

"Derek, it's perfect." Stiles cut him off and kissed him.

"You think so?" Derek frowned and Stiles nodded.

"Definitely." Stiles hummed.

Soon after they got settled Stiles cleaned all the mud and gunk off of Noah, Derek had changed Noah into warm clothes and tucked his almost bald head into a cap and then laid him to rest in his crib. Stiles had called Deaton who was on his way to check Noah's vitals and make sure everything was okay with him.

Both men stood in his nursery afraid to leave him alone especially without word from Galaxy. Derek leaned against the door frame and Stiles sat in the rocking chair his hands fidgeting in his lap. Derek watched Stiles for a second before speaking up.

"Maybe you should get some rest." Derek suggested and Stiles shook his head.

"I can't." Stiles huffed and Derek raised an eyebrow at him, "i know i should feel tired, but i just can't."

"I understand-" Derek stopped himself and sighed, "my mind keeps telling me Galaxy handled it, but there's this one lingering thought that maybe she'll come back and take Noah again."

"Yeah." Stiles whispered and looked over at Noah who was now sleeping.

The silence that washed over them was sobering and Stiles pushed the rocking chair back so that he moved with it. Derek rested his head on the wall and a soft knock on the loft's door caught Derek's attention. He kicked himself off the wall and made his way towards the door.

He opened it to reveal Deaton who had a bag full of medical equipment. He opened the door wider and Deaton walked in. Derek felt his body growing tired but he shook it off and looked over at Deaton who was watching him with concerned eyes.

"Derek, i just wanted you to know your mother would have been so proud of you." Deaton rested his hand on Derek's shoulder.

Derek offered him a small smile, "thank you."

"Now let's go check out the little guy."
