Does my book have to be published on Wattpad?

Yes, we do prefer it is, not only because it makes everything easier but also because we can see what genre the book is in. However, if you don't plan to publish the book until the summer, then that's fine - but PLEASE have your book published by August max - otherwise, you will not qualify for the activity and awards at the end.

What genre does my book have to be in?

It can be in any genre; short story, romance, teen fiction, horror, adventure... The list goes on. NO RANDOM CATEGORIZED BOOKS. This includes rant books, critique books, tip books, etc. as they are not really a form of writing.

If I realize I can't participate anymore, what should I do?

Please let us know that you will not be able to participate anymore and we'll gladly accepted that.

What if I'm going on vacation or am busy with exams?

DM us in advance to let us know and we'll pardon you from the assignment. We just want to keep track of each member so that it's not confusing!

How does the Summer Workshop work?

Each week (or every two weeks if it is a busy time of the year) we will be hosting a theme or topic that will be the focus. We will give you background information, some useful tips, perhaps a fun activity, and then assign a task. This task will be due on the DUE DATE we will mention. In the next part which we'll post a couple days after the due date, a reflection will be provided to highlight what we were looking for and which participants excelled!

Of course, this is a way for everyone to have a chance to shine in the workshop and in turn, become better writers. We hope to also provide one-on-one feedback for each of the entries as well.

Are there book awards at the end?

Yes! So if you're willing to get some readers on your own books as well, this workshop is for you! There will be several categories and the stories which you have entered in the form will be the books that will be judged.

Is there a certain time of day that you have to be logged in, or do you do the exercise when you can?

You do the exercises when you can. Just be mindful that you are to complete them in a time frame so that we are able to read everyone's responses.

Is it possible to still participate in the contests even though you don't register?

No, sorry about that. You have to register!

Is there a tag for this workshop?

No, you just comment your response to the exercises.

Can I enter more than one book?

No. Since you are working with one book and focusing on making it better with conferences with other participants, we want just ONE book that you would like to work with.
