I forgot the light

Even as i saw it shine in my eyes

I chose to ignore it

but now i know better

I know more and I am ready to define me

my life

I allowed others to define me

My grades

My quarks and now i am me because I say I am

I've seen how others are affected by the pressure i was once under

Selling theselves on what they were told were their worst aspects

but here we stand

here we are

to say you are worthless becasue you are a fish who can not climb a tree

Is just as ridiculous as calling you a faliure
