Washington D.C.

This Monday was seriously turning out to be crappy. And very long. Like unbelievably not a Monday. It felt like a Thursday to be honest, and it was totally throwing Parker's undead self off.

Currently, her and Shore were in one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s stake-out vans. They were very "inconspicuous" in their black BMW with tinted windows.

"Can you stop chewing so loudly?"

"How can I not chew loud? It's a burrito," Evan replied, talking with his mouth full. Parker wrinkled her nose in disgust before taking another sip of her water. Modern customs were very different from when she had been growing up. It was odd, feeling like an old woman, yet at the same time pretending to be like the newer generations around her. She often felt misplaced and lonely but then she remembered that there were so many people still alive from her time. Who knows how many vampires there were from the 1920's? She couldn't say the same for Claudia.

"Don't talk with your mouth full," Parker scolded anyway, and Evan snorted.

"I'm sorry, I thought I was with Parker, not Claudia Speare," Evan said, crumbling the burrito tissue in his hands while Parker swatted his arm.

"Hey!" Evan yelped.

"Just because Claudia has manners doesn't mean you have to make fun of her," Parker said, leaning forward in the passenger seat to look down the street.

"I was kidding, I just wanted to annoy you," Evan retorted, leaning back and putting his hands behind his head.

"You do that already by sitting next to me," Parker said, hiding a smirk.

"Sassy, I like it," And she could feel him staring at her now.

She licked her lips, her eyes focusing on the street in front of them. Evan spoke again but Parker tuned him out, her heightened hearing picking up noise from the alley across the street. She quickly grabbed two guns and shoving one in her boot, she opened the car door. Evan whisper-shouted after her, not wanting to blow their cover.

"Parker? Parker, are you crazy?"

Parker ignored him and instead ran across the street, tapping a little into her super speed, and turning into the dark alley. She saw a young woman on the ground, tears running down her face and covered in blood from all the vampire bites. She cried when she saw Parker, unaware that Parker was just another monster. It's like Parker was entranced, and she stepped closer to the woman. The woman's heart was beating so fast, blood pumping loudly as she realized that Parker wasn't going to help her.

She centered on the blood covering the woman, and Parker felt like a caged animal. The sweet, sweet scent of blood filled Parker's nose and she felt the tips of her fangs press against her lip. The veins under her eyes fluttered as she thought about the gushing, red-

"Do you see anything?" Came Evan's voice in her ear and Parker froze, her ragged breaths the only sound. Licking her lips again, her fangs gone, she was snapped out of her blood daze. She suddenly felt like she wanted to throw up. But she needed to remain in control.

Parker ignored the woman, turning the corner quietly. There, someone was shoved up against the wall, a vampire clearly gulping down mouthfuls of their blood. She had a clear shot and she took it.

A scream, and then the sound of the body dropping. The result of a wooden bullet coated in vervain. She sped over, turning the vampire toward her, her eyes widening at its face.

It was the boy from the S.H.I.E.L.D. Infirmary, the one with the warlock genes. It seemed his friend had showed him some of his new powers. Just like she suspected, Parker no longer sensed the warlock genes on him. Suddenly, someone yanked the back of Parker's hair and she flew back.
