Man, I was so nervous, as soon as the leadership slide popped up my heart skipped a few beats. I could only imagine my name right next to out returning Drum Majors.
And all I can ever do is imagine it.
I knew the moment he wouldn't hold eye contact with me that I didn't make it. And at that moment I knew exactly who would. Everyone chanted and cheered his name, and so did I. I mean, why wouldn't I? I tried my best to avoid people (and their pity) and just tried to act happy despite the tired state I was in.
So in short, I didn't make it.
It was probably the audition that messed me up. But he was going to be chosen no matter what.
Anyways, thanks for reading my book obviously that's the end of it and I hope I was able to help those of you who were trying out for Drum Major. ^w^
P.S I still feel like I'm going to make it like the newest Drum Major is going to move or the band director is going to allow four Drum Majors or something XD
