Chapter 6: Business is business

"I know where your father is." That statement made Theio and Brezette stopped in motion. Napalunok ng laway ang binata at nilapitan ang doktor.

"How do you know about my father's issue?!" asik nito. Kumurba naman ang labi ng doktor nang makuha na niya ang atensyon ng binata.

"It's all about connections, my dear."

"Tell me where they hide my father!" Nagtitimping bulong nito upang hindi makaakit ng atensyon mula sa mga guest.

"I won't tell anything, Mr. Mozera unless you'll dispose the accusation you made to me."

"I have no gaurantee that I can do that, Mr. It's the law's judgement that matters and not mine. And by looking at all angles, you're the one who's capable of doing the crime and you even admitted it. Now would you mind telling me where my father is?"

"I have already told you, I won't tell anything."

"Should I repeat my question?"

"My answer will stays the same."

"Take him!"

Masamang tingin ang kaniyang pinukol sa doktor habang nakatagis ang panga nito. Napakuyom ang kamao nito at halos makita na ang ugat sa kaniyang kamao. Nagbulong-bulungan naman ang mga doktor dahil sa pagtataka kung ano ang nangyari sa bisita.

"Come on! We'll going home," sambit nito sa pagitan ng kaniyang hininga. Brezette quietly obliged at sinundan ang malalaking hakbang ni Theio palabas. She quickly dialed Vejenlivious to pick them up. Saktong paglabas nila ay siyang pagdating ni Vejenlivious.

"Airport," he commandee while fixing himself at the passenger seat. Nagtataka man ay tumango na lamang si Vejenlivious gayundin si Brezette subalit may ideya na ito kung ano ang nais ni Theio. Theio already ended his day at may kutob ang sekretarya na may masamang mangyayari or something deeper than that.

It took them hours before arriving at NAIA airport. Paglabas nila sa airport ay nakaparada na ang sasakyan nila na naka-base around Manila. Pinahururot ng drayber ang sasakyan papuntang building ng ScienRage Corporation.

Pagkababa ay mabilis na pumasok ang binata habang kinuha ang cellphone nito sa bulsa.

"Managing commitee and head departments go to the conference room now. An emergency meeting occured," said he. Pagkatapos ay kaniyang ibinulsa muli ang cellphone. Napakunot ang noo ng dalaga dahil sa pagtataka. Theio haven't announced to her that there will be an emergency meeting today. Mas lalong nangamba si Brezette dahil sa emergency meeting nito. This indeed an emergency.

Conference room is located at the middle floor of ScienRage Corporation. All head departments ran fast as they could nang ibinalita sa kanila na may emergency meeting. Nagsisikaikan sila sa elevator sa basement upang agad makapunta sa conference room. Upon arriving, they settled to their prespective seats at sa harapan nila ay ang kanilang Presidente na naunang nakarating kaysa sa kanila sa Conference Hall.

"So, good afternoon each and everyone," panimula nito. "I know all you wanted to make a new products. Ramdam kong nangangati na ang inyong mga kamay sa paggawa ng bagong produkto. So this time, gusto kong gumawa naman tayo ng panibagong product na siyang makakapagkuha ng interes sa isang tao. Any suggestions of this kind of product? It may be an application, a computer games or anything. What do you think?"

A defeaning silence took over them. Lahat ay napapaisip sa product na gusto ni Theio. They weren't prepared about this product sapagkat ngayon lang ito ibinalita sa kanila. A minute had passed yet no one has any suggestions yet. Taimtim na napaisip ang lahat including their president, Theio Mozera.

"As for my research, most wildly use by the gadget users or mobile users are social media. Some use games application but not that populated due to lack of internet connection. This not an opinion but a fact," said Landrick, a head department in Psychology. While continously tapping his pen on the table habang nakadekwatro.

"Any addition?" asked Theio. Someone raised a hand from the managing commitee. "Yes?"

"I agree for what Mr. Landrick said. But as for my knowledge, human tends to buy things according to what is 'uso'. You see, by looking at all angles it could cause a bandwagon effect and magkakaroon tayo ng maraming investors. How about a gadget? What do you think?"

"Yes but how about those poor people? Our target market here is the gullible buyers. You see, as for my perspective, gullible persons are those are lack of knowledge. Do you know what I am referring to? Those indigent. They are more likely be the gullible person because they lack of the neccesity to live. And isn't ironic? Even though they're needy, they still have an android phone," ani Theio na palakad-lakad sa harap nila.

"So our target here is the indigent. How about those person who could buy things easily? Hindi ba dapat sila ang pagtutuunan natin and not the indigent?" Brezette butted in.

"As what Mr. Cruz have said, manalig tayo sa bandwagon effect."

"What are you trying to imply, sir?" asked from the IT department.

"Well, I guess a social media is way better. Kung pag-iipunin natin ang ating ideya, makakabuo tayo ng magandang website at magkakaroon ng maraming. Though your suggestiom is not enough. Kailangan dapat interesting talaga ang website na ito." Napatango ang ilan sa sinabi ng president at sila'y nag-isip muli.

Unlucky from the static chemist head department for Theio caught her murmuring.

"Mrs. Aguirre, maaari mo bang iparinig kung ano ang iyong binubulong? You see, we are busy discussing here tapos ikaw hindi nakikinig."

"S-sir, you misinterpreted my action. I was listenin in our discussion. It's just that, I was busy constructing phrases para sa isa-suggest ko."

"Is that so? Let me hear it then."

"Hindi ba't tayong lahat ay may angking katamaran? I was thinking earlier what if this kind of website is a google type but more informative yet accesible. But the twist here is, it is only available in mobile phone but not in any computer for it will appears to be blank. Human's mind will do the work. There must be a connector or what between the mind and the phone. They can browse without touching out. So obviously, ang target market dito ay iyong mga taong high tech ang gusto. A person who wanted to do the work is their mind kasi ayaw nilang masayang ang kanilang lakas. Even us, minsan mas gugustuhin nating utak na lang ang magkokontrol sa mga bagay dahil sa angking katamaran, 'di ba? What do you think, sir?"

Nang marinig nila ang kaniyang suhestiyon, namangha sila rito even Theio na sinabayan pa ng tango.

"Para mas accesible pa iyan ay gawin nating no data charges apply." Napangisi nang nakakaloko si Theio sa naisip.

"But sir! Malulugi tayo niyan! Mauubos ang pera natin niyan dahil it cost billions para sa resources natin!" reklamo ng isang accountant.

"This time, just this once, we'll not think how much money does it cost. This time isipin natin ang mabuti para sa kanila para makatulong tayo kahit papaano. If you have calculated after so many years, the world will be living in advance technology. Isipin natin kung mangyayari man iyon ay at least maging historical ang product natin, hindi ba?" Labag man sa kanilang kalooban ay tumango na lamang ito bilang pagsang-ayon.

"Next meeting ay tungkol sa marketing ng product natin but I won't be there. Brezette will be there kaya magiging updated pa rin ako. So I guess everything is now settled. The meeting is now adjourned."
