Amelia's POV

6 months before

"I just wanted to say sorry about yesterday" Jeff said to Cheryl from across the booth

She placed her hand on his "It's alright! Am-Am you've got yourself a keeper" She said smiling at me

"I really do don't I?" I laughed as he scrunched his nose

"So I have a great day shopping ahead of me. I better scooch" Cheryl said kissing both of my cheeks before she walked out of Pop's

I looked to Jeff "So how do you like it here?" I asked taking a sip of our shared chocolate milk shake

"I love it. Your friends are all so nice. Except I noticed that Archie didn't really say anything when we saw him"

"Yeah it's a little weird between us. He confessed that he liked me in freshman year but I was with Jason in secret but it lasted like two months. I told him that I didn't feel that way for him and he's still my friend but I know it's different" I said shrugging "I guess he got over that. He says that he's over it but I don't know, you know?"

He nodded "Well as long as he doesn't have a thing for you now. That's all that matters" He said making me blush

"Well I hope not because he has a girlfriend and I have a boyfriend, whom I love" I said

He kissed my forehead and we continued our day which consisted of talking at Pops about nothing until we decided it was time to go home

We went back to our shared hotel and packed our things. I was looking for anything we may have forgotten when there was a knock on the door

I ran to it before Jeff making me laugh. I opened the door and I was greeted with none other than Veronica Lodge

I sighed "What?"

"Well I just tracked you down so that I could tell you that I'm really sorry about yesterday. I know coming here can be stressful because of everything that's happened. I just wanted to tell you that I'm here if you need to talk. I'm here to be a friend not an enemy"

When she was done I felt like crying

"Oh no did I do something wrong? Did I come at the wrong time or..?"

I didn't say anything but embraced her in a hug. I let go and said "Thank you. I'm so sorry too. Yes I'm very stressed coming here but I was a little on edge because you're you and I'm just little ole me"

"Well little ole you is welcome in Riverdale anytime"
