In the hospital they diagnosed him with Schizophrenia, claiming that everything he saw was merely his own imagination
Under the control of the Operator, Tim managed to burn down the mental hospital and escape without a single scratch

Tims mother was the first human to ever encounter The Operator. She had come across him many times in her younger years and had experienced the symptoms her whole life, and she was devastated when she learned that her baby son was beginning to see the same creature. She took him to the mental hospital because she believed that they would keep him safe from The Operator.

After burning down the mental hospital and escaping, The Operator wiped Tims mind clean
He no longer remembered his father, his childhood, his mother, or anything except for where he was at that given moment
Brian had to remind him of his name, birth date, home, who he was to him, and how they knew each other
Unfortunately Brian didn't know anything of Tims past life and Tim can't even remember either of his parents names or faces
