As Caroline left the school campus, she took out her phone and decided to text Peter that she was coming over to start their project.

Caroline frowned when she saw that Peter left her on read. She didn't take it too seriously and ignored it. He's probably busy doing something,Caroline thought to herself.
Fifteen minutes passed and still no response. Growing worried, she decided to text him again.

Caroline🌸 Is everything alright? You didn't answer, just worried.
Peter📚 Everything is fine, just swinging from place to place running some errands. I'll be at my apartment soon

Caroline didn't really understand Peter's last text, but she decided to stop the conversation there to let Peter do what he needed to.
The route to Peter's apartment wasn't exactly the safest. She had to go through many alleys and saw a lot of people who looked sketchy.
As Caroline scrolled through her phone, she felt a harsh force on her shoulder.
"Sorry, I wasn't loo-"Caroline tried to say when she locked eyes with the man who bumped into her. He was big and tough, wearing a black hoodie. Her first instincts were to run, but she was too scared and stayed put.
