-3rd POV-
"Nee, Kaila-chan.. Can we talk?" Yuki questioned, walking beside the said girl.
"About what?" Kaila replied, not wanting to deal with Yuki.
"Well.. uh. Zero." Yuki said sheepishly, scratching the back of her head.
"Now?" Kaila said, looking away.
"Um, tonight during night duty if you don't mind?" Yuki replied, as Kaila curtly nodded.
[ Timeskip ]
"S-so, uh about Zero.. I'm sorry about it. I could see you both had a thing for each other, but it seems like I ruined it." Yuki stuttered, twiddling her fingers as she shook nervously.
Kaila sighed, giving Yuki a soft hug.
"Hey. Nothing to be sorry about, it's actually my fault as I was gone for so long. I can't expect him to wait for me. Just, take care of him okay? Make him happy. Happier than what I could ever achieve." Kaila whispered, patting Yuki's head and took a step back.
Yuki smiled weakly, saluting Kaila. "Yosh, I'll do my best!"
Kaila nodded and walked away, leaving Yuki to her own thoughts.
What Kaila failed to notice though, Zero was behind a tree, listening.
