Okay, let be honest here, 99% of all writer's hate their own works with a burning passion, and the only reason they post it is because 'hey I wrote it and I might as well share it and hope for the best'.
Yeah...they usually end up regretting that when they look back at the horrors of what they have written.
And that is why I have chosen to edit one of my books. Especially because I a year ago actually reread it and commented it.
Most of those comments just covered the basics like grammar and stuff:
Others were just good advice
And the last of them were just well...hateful
Anyway, my point, you are going to hate your story with a burning passion, and that's natural. You are also going to want to edit it, and that's great because it means you have developed as an author, but a piece of advice? Finish it first (isn't it ironic coming for me?).
But why Jaz?
Because even though you may have published it, it's still a first draft. And honestly? A shitty first draft is better than no first draft. To get a first draft you have to finish the story.
Writing a first draft is all about pushing all your hatred away and save it to the editing phase. If you do that, your writing style will not only be more developed but also more the same and it will be easier for you to make the plot better.
Do you hate this advice already? Good, because it means it's hard, and it's only when there is a bit of struggle that you get the good stuff flowing.
But to cheer you up before you go writing I want to share this beautiful piece of advice:
Now go write!
