Mason's wife and infant daughter were murdered in the glade by a crime lord whom he tried to take down as a cop. After his family's death Mason becomes a criminal, hunting down the crime lord who has never been seen and who only goes by the name The Raven; Also, who ordered for his family's death.
After chasing down another lead, Mason is caught by the Green Arrow. After Oliver offers him a role on the team to help him and stop his raid, his rage begins to subside. Until his past catches up and the whispers of The Raven's return haunts Mason's life, and he tries to get revenge.
