Chapter 22

"Babe calm down." I said as he continued to cry
"Hes gone." Was all he could say
"Im going to try and get a flight from here to New York." I said not sure if I even could because of the case
"No finish the case." He said sniffling
"My family needs me more." I said wiping the tears that were starting to fall
"I love you so much." He said sounding broken hearted
"I love you too. Try and find tickets for you are Rae. I need to get back in there." I said as we said our goodbyes

"Hotch can I talk to you?" I asked walking in and we went to a corner
"What is it?" He asked with his straight face
"Jacobs grandpa just died." I said hiding my emotions
"Do you..." he started to say before Luke interrupted us
"Garcia has the address to Scotts home."
"Luke Britt. Go." He demanded as we turned to run out to an SUV

"Whats up?" He asked while we drove
"Nothing." I said looking out the window
"Well its not nothing. You been playing with your wedding ring, your mom does that when somethings wrong." He said still focused on the road
"My husbands grandpa just died." I said getting teary eyed
"Its going to be ok." He said as we pulled up to the house
We walked up and knocked
"Scott Wilson. FBI we wanna talk." Luke said
No answer
"Scott we just want to talk." I said knocking
We waited a little bit before walking away and the door opened
"You are very pretty." His voice came through as we walked back up to the door
"Thanks." Luke said as I tried to hide my laugh
"I will only talk to her." He said opening the screen door.
"No we are partners." Luke said standing straighter
"Its fine." I said with a head tilt pointing towards the back gate
"Alright." He said stepping back as I stepped in

"You are very pretty." He said creeping me out
"Thanks." I said looking around his house
"Do you know why we are here?" I asked seeing Luke enter into the back yard
"Cause you want to be with me. Take of those silly rings. Im a real man." He said as I slowly reached back to my gun
"Im happily married." I said as he grabbed a knife and held it up
"Its pretty girls like you that wont give the good guys a chance." He said playing with it
"Scott put the knife down." I said raising my gun up as I saw Luke slip into the back of the house
"No. I want you to pay for the hurt you did to me." He yelled at me
"I dont know you Scott. Now put the knife down." I yelled back
"You know exactly who I am Brittney Anderson. I sat behind you all freshman year. I lived next door to your husband. All I wanted was Lexi but I wasnt rich enough to be in your group." He yelled death gripping the knife
"I wasnt rich either, I was only an athlete and than I got hurt and lost my scholarship." I said calmly
"It was Lexis fault." He yelled running towards me knife first.

"Are you ok?" JJ asked as I stood out front watching the EMTs wheel the dead Scott Wilson away
"Huh. Ya Im fine. I need to get home." I said snapping out of my thoughts
"Britt that was your first kill and you just got back." She said worried
"Im fine ok. Just stop hovering over me." I yelled before getting into the SUV Rossi was in.
"Can you take me to the airport?" I asked once I was calm
"We are leaving tomorrow morning." He said sternly
"Im not flying back with the team. Jacobs grandpa died. Im flying to New York." I said wiping tears away
"Ok." He said and drove away

I was sitting at the airport and got another call from JJ and ignored it again.
I people watched the airport finding it funny how no one knows that the people they are traveling with could turn out to be a serial killer.
I watched one mother carry her child running to the gate so they wouldnt miss their flight. A couple was fighting about visiting in laws. I was enjoying myself when someone sat next to me.
"Can I help you?" I asked still staring at the couple fighting
"Your new to the team." He said and I looked over at him
"New to what team?" I asked confused
"The BAU team." He said with a grin
"So you know about the FBI. Congrats." I said sarcastically
"I know about you too." He said grinning even wider as I looked at him confused
"Brittney Anderson, Brittney Nolan, and now Brittney LaMontange. Adopted right after birth. SSA Jennifer Jareau is your mother and you killed your birth father almost a year ago. You have a beautiful daughter and married your college sweetheart Jacob Nolan, son of Nolan Lawfirm in New York City." He said leaving me speechless
"Who are you?" I asked ready to arrest him
"Flight 2678 to New York City now boarding." The announcer said
"Well looks like your time is up. It was a pleasure to meet you Brittney." He said standing up
"Wait, you can just say all that stuff about me and my family. What is your name?" I asked pulling him back
"Peter Lewis." He said before turning away and disappearing into the busy airport.
