The constant clamour of his sister-in-law Shilpa bestood as Virag's alarm clock for the day. With his eyes half-closed, Virag checked the time. It was 8am. Suddenly, reality hit upon him. It wasn't any regular day. I̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶w̶e̶d̶d̶i̶n̶g̶. No. It's his and Anishka's wedding. It's their D-Day.

Virag started sweating profusely. His life is going to take a different turn from today. He won't be a bachelor anymore. Anishka will be his wife. All these things were making him apprehensive. Furthermore, there were some questions which had been lingering around in Virag's mind.

Is he ready to accept his new life?
Is he ready to accept Anishka as his lawfully wedded wife?
Are they ever going to share a normal equation?
Is he going to hurt her?

These were some of the questions which nobody could answer. Forget about others, even Virag didn't have the answers to these questions. Virag was so engrossed in pondering over these questions that he didn't notice his sister-in-law who came and sat near him.

"What's wrong Mr Run Machine?" Shilpa asked.

"No-Nothing Bhabi." Virag stuttered. He wasn't expecting his Bhabi to be here in the first place.

"Vir, you know that you can tell me everything right?" Shilpa held Virag's hand and smiled.

Virag smiled and nodded.

"So tell me what's bothering you?" Shilpa questioned Virag.

Virag scratched his head and smiled sheepishly at his Bhabi. He knew that he was stuck. He can't escape from his Bhabi's questions.

"Bhabi I am thinking about mine and Anishka's relationship."

Shilpa smiled. She had guessed it right.

"It's okay Virag. It's okay to get worried. Anishka might also be in the same dilemma. It's not an uncommon thing. Your brother and I have been through this too." Shilpa tried to ease Virag's tension. The mere name of 'Anishka' was enough to peak up his interest.

"Really?" Virag asked.

"Yes. Really." Shilpa assured.

Virag grinned like a child.

"Now get ready. We have to wrap up your Haldi ceremony soon and go to Anishka's place."

"Okay." Virag agreed.

Shilpa left his room and went downstairs to see if all the arrangements were done.

The haldi ceremony is the one in which a paste of haldi is applied on the bride and the groom’s body before their wedding. This ceremony is held at both the bride and the groom’s place, on the morning of the wedding day.

Traditionally, people make a paste using haldi and different ingredients according to their individual family customs. While some mix it with sandalwood powder and milk, others mix it with rose water. This paste is then applied on the bride and the groom’s face, neck, hands and feet, by their near and dear ones. This ceremony is also accompanied by traditional songs and dances at times. The bride and the groom also apply a small portion of this sacred paste on their unmarried friends and siblings. It is said that whoever gets touched by this paste will soon find a good looking partner.

Virag got himself ready in a golden Kurta-Pyjama and a Nehru jacket. He let his hair to stay as messy because even he knows that he looks sexy like that.

Once he was done dressing up, he went downstairs. His family, relatives and friends were waiting for him to come. As soon as his friends saw him ascending down the stairs, they whistled and hooted. Ragini and Rohan rushed upto him and literally dragged him to where everyone was standing and then made him to sit on a wooden stool.
