This game still wasn't over. We had to complete the two point conversion to win by one and we were going to do it.

Everyone knew we could do it. But it was one and done so the play call had to be perfect.

I called a running play.

I patted my running back, Justin, on the shoulder pad as we trotted to the line.

I leaned in, "They're gonna blow that line wide open for you, J. You got this."

He smiled at me and we took our positions. I snapped the ball, handed it off to him, and sure enough, a beautiful hole opened up and he walked right into the end zone.

My heart was pounding, I was sure everyone could hear it, as I ran up to the guys. Everyone was so excited, the crowd was going insane. We did it, we did it.

Everyone ran to the sideline to sit through one more kickoff because there was still 21 seconds left on the clock. I sat on the bench as I watched the kickoff and the final seconds tick away.

The whole team was fired up. I never thought coming into playing for them that they would all appreciate me so much, it was a good feeling.

We all trotted to the locker room after the game, Coach still had to talk to us before we could go home.
