CHAPTER 01

ANANYA SAT INSIDE the helicarrier's control room, waiting for the others to arrive. She sat at the table, watching the SHIELD workers do their thing. 

They have really advanced since she had been there.

Ana turned towards the entrance when she heard footsteps. She first spotted Natasha before three familiar faces appeared behind her. Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers, and Jacqueline Braden. Ana recognized them from the folder. 

Nat sat beside Ananya as the boys and girl looked around in awe. "Ladies and gentlemen," Fury greeted after the Helecarrier took off, "Doctor, thank you for coming."

"Thanks for asking nicely. So, uh...how long am I staying?" Banner asked, shaking Fury's hand,

"Once we get our hands on the Tesseract, you're in the clear." Fury answered and Banner nodded,

"Where are you with that?" Banner asked and Fury pointed to Coulson to explain,

"We're sweeping every wirelessly accessible camera on the planet. Cell phones, laptops. If it's connected to a satellite, it's eyes and ears for us."

"That's still not gonna find them in time." Natasha commented,

"You have to narrow the field." Banner stated and turned to Fury, "How many spectrometers do you have access to?"

"How many are there?" Fury questioned,

"Call every lab you know, tell them to put the spectrometers on the roof and calibrate them for gamma rays." Banner ordered as he took off his coat, "I'll rough out a tracking algorithm based on cluster recognition. At least we could rule out a few places. Do you have somewhere for me to work?",

Ananya watched them speak. She had no clue what they were talking about. And for that, she was grateful that Banner was there.

Fury nodded over to Natasha, "Agent Romanoff, would you show Dr. Banner to his laboratory, please."

Natasha smirked and walked past Banner, "You're gonna love it, Doc. We got all the toys."

Steve walked over to Ananya, his hand out to shake, "Steve Rogers."

"Agent Ananya Khatri." She replied, shaking his hand, "Call me Ana." The woman looked over at the girl, Jacqueline, who stood near the door, looking out of place, "She's new to all of this, isn't she?"

Steve looked back at the younger girl before turning towards Ana, "It's her first mission."

"We got a hit. Sixty-seven percent match. Wait, cross match, seventy-nine percent." Sitwell corrected and Coulson walked over,

"Location?"

"Stuttgart, Germany. 28, Konigstrasse. He's not exactly hiding." He stated and Fury turned to Steve,

"Captain, Frost, you're up."

Ananya brought Jacqueline to the changing room and the two quickly dressed in the new suits that SHIELD supplied them and Ana loaded her weapons. Steve, Jacq, Natasha, and Ana got into the Quinjet and took off towards Germany.

They found Loki surround by people cowering in fear and one older man standing up to him. "Look to your elder, people. Let him be an example." Loki stated, aiming his scepter at the man. Just as the energy beam shoots out, Rogers dove in front and blocked the blast with his shield and knocked Loki on his ass,

"You know, the last time I was in Germany and saw a man standing above everybody else, we ended up disagreeing," Rogers said,

Loki stood up, "The soldier. A man out of time." he sneered

"I'm not the one who's out of time." Rogers commented as the Quinjet appeared above them and a machine gun is aimed at Loki.

"Loki, drop the weapon and stand down." Natasha said into the speaker,

Loki shot blue energy towards the jet and Natasha maneuvered it just in time, giving Rogers the time to throw his shield at Loki. Loki flung Rogers to the ground. Rogers then threw his shield, but Loki swatted it way. 

Ana watched Jacqueline, who seemed nervous, "You want to join the party?" She asked and Jacqueline shook her head,

"No, you can go ahead."

Rogers was knocked down by Loki and he stood above the Captain, pointing his scepter at his helmet. "Kneel."

Ana jumped from the jet, "Not today!" She yelled as she kicked Loki over.

She aimed another attack at the Asgardian, but he grabbed her and flung her to the ground as Rogers attacked. Suddenly, an ACDC song starts to play from the jet's speakers. The three of them looked up at the sky as Iron Man flew over and blast Loki to the ground. Iron Man landed and pulled out every piece of weaponry the suit has and aimed it at the God,

"Make your move, Reindeer Games." Loki put up his hands and surrendered as his armor materialized away. "Good move." Iron Man stated as the missiles went away,

"Mr. Stark." Ana greeted, placing her hands on her hips,

"Ana. Captain." He nodded towards them before taking Loki prisoner on the Quinjet.
