Chapter 16:

Seeing his mother crying got Wyatt worried. He knew how emotional she could be when things didn't go the way they were supposed to.

He went right over to her & hugged her, which surprised her. Still, she wrapped her arms around her son & hugged him right back.

"Are you OK, Mom?" he asked with a worried look on his face. Quinn shook her head. "Tell me, Mom. What happened? Why are you so upset?" asked Wyatt whose concern for his mother was growing by the minute.

Wiping her tears away, Quinn said, "You won't believe who came by my office today." Hearing that made Wyatt worry even more.

"Who, Mom?" he asked. "Your loser of a father," said Quinn.

"What the hell did he want?" asked Wyatt who no longer had anything to do with Bill after he had had Liam publish a very nasty article about the late Stephanie Forrester in an issue of Eye on Fashion, which Liam was the editor-in-chief.

"He wants me to stop being with Eric," siad Quinn who now felt a tear go down her cheek. Wyatt was now in shock.

Sure, he knew that his mother & Eric Forrester were now a couple, were very much in love, & had even talked about marriage.

For Bill Spencer to try & put the brakes on a relationship that Wyatt supported because Eric made Quinn happy made him angry.

"He can't make you do that, Mom," said Wyatt. "I know that, but that doesn't matter to him. Nothing does," said Quinn who was trying hard to hold back more tears. Wyatt just sighed.

But then he started thinking. Did Bill know about him & Hope being a couple now or was he simply jealous of Quinn's relationship with Eric? Wyatt hoped to find out soon, but first, he had a crying mother to attend too.

"Want something from Starbucks, Mom?" asked Wyatt with a smile. Quinn chuckled & said, "That would be great, son. Thank you."

He then hugged his mom again, got in his truck, & drove to Starbucks to get Quinn her favorite coffee, a chocolate-hazelnut latte.

Back at Forrester Creations, Maya was pointing out a design of Quinn's that she personally liked when Rick's phone rang. The two looked at each other for a moment, & then Hope picked up the phone on Rick's desk.

"Rick Forrester's office. Hope Logan speaking," she said in a professional tone. The voice on the other end shocked her.

It was Liam, & she wasn't happy that it was him.
