Chapter 17

Chapter 17:

Hope felt herself begin to burn with anger because Liam was the last person she ever wanted to speak to.

"Hope? Answer me please," said Liam who was calling from his office at Eye on Fashion. Hope felt Maya put her hand on her shoulder as she answered.

"What do you want, Liam?" asked Hope coldly. "I'd like to meet you somewhere," said Liam. "Why?" asked Hope.

"Because I want to talk to you," said Liam. "Do you?" asked Hope. "Yes I do. Meet me at the Ivy. We can talk there," said Liam. That got Hope thinking.

"Hold on for a moment," said Hope who then put Liam on hold. She then looked up at Maya, who looked very concerned.

"What does he want, Hope?" asked Maya. "He wants to meet me at the Ivy to talk," said Hope. "Are you going to do it?" asked Maya. "What do you think, Maya? I'd like to know what you think of this," said Hope. Maya didn't hesitate with her answer.

"I don't think you & Liam should meet," said Maya. "That guy has broken your heart so many times that it's enough to make even my head spin. If I were you, I wouldn't do it because he will try to charm his way back into your life all while trashing Wyatt at the same time. Think about it, honey, were you ever truly happy with Liam?"

The last part of Maya's words got Hope thinking. Sure, she & Liam had been very happy at first, but when Steffy came around, things between Liam & Hope changed in ways neither ever thought were possible.

"Honestly?" asked Hope. Maya nodded. Hope then sighed & answered with, "No." She then grabbed the phone & put Liam back on the line.

"No, Liam," said Hope. "What? Are you serious, Hope? Don't you want to talk about this?" asked a frantic Liam. "No, Liam, I don't. Goodbye," siad Hope who then hung up & leaned back in Rick's comfy office chair.

Maya smiled at her future sister-in-law. She was proud of Hope.

"I think you made the right choice, girl," said Maya with a wink. Hope smiled & responded with, "Thanks. Now can we get back to work?" Maya just laughed, & the two went back to looking over at some new ideas for Hope For The Future.

Meanwhile, back at Eye on Fashion, Liam was dumbstruck. He couldn't believe that Hope would turn him down like that.

Was Wyatt right? Did Hope not love him anymore? That caused Liam to tremble with fear.

Now as he tried to get back to work himself, Liam knew that he was going to have to talk to Hope soon.

He just hoped that it wasn't going to be too late before that happened.

Then again, he didn't know what would happen.
