Chapter 27

Chapter 27:

After the confrontation with Brooke at Forrester Creations, Wyatt & Hope were off to Spencer Publications for another confrontation, this time with Bill Spencer, & the newlyweds knew that this one was probably going to be tougher then the one with Brooke.

Bill had found out about Wyatt & Hope getting married from Liam, who had told his father as soon as he landed in LA from Hawaii.

Like Brooke, Bill was fuming over what happened.

However, unlike his ex-wife, Bill had what he felt was a surefire way to get Wyatt & Hope to break up.

Wyatt & Hope made their way through the shiny high-rise building where Spencer Publications was housed & walked into Bill's spacious office that had sweeping views of Los Angeles.

Bill was seated behind his desk smirking. It was the other people in the office that made Wyatt & Hope curious.

Liam, of course, was easy to recognize, but the other gentleman wasn't. At least not to Hope.

Wyatt, however, recognized the man in the charcoal-grey suit holding a dark-brown briefcase.

"I see you hired a big-time lawyer there, old man," said Wyatt. "Who is he, honey?" asked Hope. "Michael Baldwin. He's a lawyer from Genoa City, Wisconsin," said Wyatt who recognized the former Genoa City District Attorney from having noticed him in Bill's office one day.

"The reason why Mr. Baldwin is here is that he has papers ready for the two of you to sign," said Bill. Michael then started to open his briefcase when Hope decided to speak up.

"Don't bother, Mr. Baldwin. There's not going to be an annulment," she said. Michael looked at her in surprise. Bill, however, remained calm despite the fact that he was burning up inside.

"I don't think you understand, Hope. This 'marriage', if you want to call it that, is a mistake and needs to be taken care of," said Bill. "Really? What advantage do you intend to gain from us getting an annulment, old man?" asked Wyatt. Bill looked at his son in disgust.

"No advantage, Wyatt," said Bill. "You sure about that? Because I'm sure that there are scandals that are much more damaging to you then our marriage is," said Hope. "Like what, little girl?" asked Bill smugly.

"Like...Liam and Ally," said Hope. Liam then sat up & looked at her in shock.

"What do you mean, Hope?" asked Liam. "Wyatt & I confronted Ally before we came here, & she told us that she was the one who told you about us being in Hawaii," said Hope. "Yeah. So what?" asked Liam. "She also told us that you & her are sexually involved," said Wyatt.

Liam looked at his brother and sister-in-law in complete shock. He had had no idea that Ally had spilled the beans about them. He had hoped to keep it a secret because he was only with Ally because of Hope leaving him.

Bill, on the other hand, was shocked. "Is this true, Liam? You & Thorne Forrester's daughter?" he asked angrily. Liam just nodded as he hung his head in shame. He couldn't hide it any longer.

"Yeah, it's true, Dad," said Liam sadly. "After Hope left me at the alter, Ally was there for me. One thing lead to another, & we started sleeping together. I couldn't go back to Steffy because of her relationship with Carter. Still, I wanted Hope back. Now I can't have her back."

Bill was fuming. One son was married to a woman he hated, & the other had just admitted to being sexually involved with another Forrester woman. This was more then he could take.

Michael Baldwin, meanwhile, realized that trying to force Wyatt & Hope to sign the annulment papers because Bill wanted them to was pointless. He knew a young couple on love when he saw one, & this was one of them.

"I guess my services aren't needed here anymore," said Michael as he snapped his briefcase shut. "Call me when you need a lawyer to help negotiate another deal involving buying a magazine for your company, Mr. Spencer."

After Michael left, Wyatt & Hope knew that sticking around was pointless. They walked out of Bill's office & were off to start their lives together.

The drama was over....or was it?
