The sun was pounding on me as I mowed the lawn. Sweat dripped down my chest and I was thankful I had taken my shirt off.

I finished the last edges and cut the mower off glad the work was done.

"Is it my birthday or just a blessing from God?" I heard a girl say

I turned and instantly put on a smile as a group of girls walked past eyeing me.

I smiled a bit harder and waved to them. They all squealed and waved back before picking up pace and walking past.

Not one stopped to say anything.

They just looked and kept moving.

I sighed feeling the familiar blanket of sadness wrap around me.

Looking up I noticed the sun had disappeared behind a cloud.

No longer shining on me.

Omg I finally made a freaking chapter for this book. It has been sitting in my drafts for the longest time ever.

I hope it was a good beginning chapter. Really short though....
