Say Pretty Please (Camren)

Chapter 5

So Zayn and Lauren ended up getting back together two weeks after Lauren surprised Camila with a strap on and Camila didn't try to sabotage it again. She felt like it would have been too risky. Lauren probably would have spanked her with her hair brush again and then worst, stop talking to her. Camila couldn't take it if Lauren gave her the silent treatment. Because she kind of liked the hair brush thing though it stopped her from sitting properly for a week. Everyone kept giving her strange looks when she went back to school while Lauren smirked smugly.

To try and keep her mind off of Lauren she spent a lot of her time with Shawn now. He was nice and funny and she liked his company, beside he was too shy to try anything like Lauren said he would. He helped her with her homework and took her out to eat and get froyo. What was not to like about him?

She currently sat at the lunch table, going to town on her yogurt with a smile on her face because it was her favorite. Banana. She hummed in contentment before Normani joined her. She waved and Normani returned it with a smile. It wasn't long before Zayn and Lauren joined them as well, his arm thrown over her shoulder. Camila fought back the small frown she felt tug on the corner of her lips and slowly pushed her yogurt away, the taste suddenly seemed sour with the twist in her belly at the sight of the two together.

"So Camila." Normani started with an excited smile. Camila quickly returned it because she liked it when Normani was excited about something. It made her excited too. "What's going on with you and Shawn? You guys seem pretty close these days." She said with a wink as she leaned over the table to be just a little bit closer to Camila.

"What do you mean?" she asked as her eyes flickered over to Zayn and Lauren who were also watching her for a response. Zayn tried to appear like he didn't care but it was clear in his eyes that he was interested. Lauren on the other hand looked down right disgusted and her eyes narrowed into a glare.

"You know what I mean! Are you two an item or not?" Normani giggled as she just about bounced in her chair.

"Of course they're not. That'd be downright repulsive." Lauren growled as she stabbed her Mac 'n cheese. All eyes snapped to her as she continued to stab the things on her tray.

"Lauren I think Camila can answer for herself." Zayn said and she looked to him with a glare. He quickly put his hands up in surrender before turning back to his food. Lauren turned her attention back to Camila quickly as did Normani. Camila shifted in her seat before she shrugged her shoulders.

"We hang out a lot."

"He likes you, you know?" Normani wiggled her eyebrows, her smile growing and Camila looked away, feeling her cheeks flush slightly. She kind of knew already that Shawn liked her because of what Lauren had said a couple of weeks ago and how he had been acting towards her. "You should give him a chance!" Normani went on.

"Stop playing wing man Kordei and shut the hell up." Lauren chipped in again. Normani and Camila frowned as they looked back to her. "Camila doesn't have to do shit."

"Laureny why are you so mad?" Camila asked as her eyebrows knitted together even though she was pretty sure she knew why. Her stomach fluttered with butterflies at the thought that Lauren was jealous of Shawn right now. She tried to pretend that she wasn't but it was written all over her face to Camila. She didn't know if it was as obvious to anyone else though.

"I'm not mad!" Lauren snapped causing everyone at the table to jump.

"Right." Zayn mumbled as he ran his fingers through his hair. Lauren huffed air out through her nose and looked back down to her tray, lips pressed together. Normani watched her for a few moments in confusion before shaking her head as Camila fought to keep her giggle in. She thought Lauren was cute when she was jealous.
