The next afternoon, you got another call from Alphys. You answered the phone, but no answer came from the other end. You called Alphys' name again, and then again, a little louder. A hint of worry began to spread through your mind. You called her name again, louder as your concern became obvious in your tone.

You heard some scuffling on the other end for a moment, then something pick up the phone. "H-Hello?" Came Alphys' voice.

You sighed with relief. You asked her if she was alright, and why she called but then didn't answer.

"Sorry. I-I must have bumped my phone and accidentally called you. I-I'm fine."

You asked her about the scuffling before she had picked up.

"Oh, I-I just misplaced my glasses. I-I can barely see without them, so I need to find them. B-But all I can really do i-is feel around the floor..."

You offered to come over and help her find them.

"Y-You don't have to come all the way here t-to help me!" Alphys quickly replied. "I-I'm fine! I have to find them eventually! This lab i-is only so big, right?"

You asked her if she was sure.

"Yes, I'm t-totally sure. This isn't the first time this has happened, a-and I doubt it will be the last."

Not completely convinced, you said goodbye and hung up. Your mind began to pick up speed, scenarios popping into your head left and right. What is she hit her head, or tumbled into expensive equipment, breaking it. Asgore forbid she have an important project in the works just to have this little incident ruin all her hard work.
You had made up your mind. Wanted or not, you were going to help Alphys find her glasses.

You caught a ride with the River Person and made it to Hotlands in good time. You walked up to the laboratory door, which opened when you walked close.
You called out for Alphys.

You heard a thud, then a whimper of pain. You spotted Alphys beside her desk, rubbing her head. Her glasses were not on her face, proving her efforts thus far had been fruitless.

"Y-Y/N?" She questioned, her eyes squinting and straining to see you. "I-I told you I can-"

You interrupted, insisting that you would find the glasses faster if the two of you worked together.

She gave a nervous chuckled, rubbing the back of her head with a hint of sheepishness. "H-Heh, you're right. T-To tell the truth, I-I'm glad you're here." She admit.

You smiled, quickly getting to work.

"I-I'll keep looking down here. You can go upstairs."

You nodded, heading up the stairs.
You began to look around Alphys' room, carefully watching your step. You felt your heart would stop altogether if you heard glass shattering beneath your feet.
You looked in her closet, on and under her desk, and all around the floor. There was no sign of her glasses.

Unsure where else to look, you gave a defeated sigh, heading back downstairs. You opened your mouth to tell Alphys you hadn't found them, but you cut short.

There, on a yellow tail sticking out from underneath the desk, was the pair of glasses the two of you had been searching for!
You wondered briefly how Alphys had been so clumsy as to get them stuck on her tail. And, what's more, not being able to feel them there at all.
You walked up to the desk, carefully plucking the glasses off of her tail. You then called her name.

She jumped, hitting her head on her desk for the second time that you knew of. She backed out, rubbing the back of her head.
"D-Did you find them?" She asked, a glimmer of hope in her squinting eyes.

You nodded, taking her hand and placing the pair of glasses in her palm.

She smiled, quickly putting the glasses back on her face. She blinked as she adjusted to her regained vision, looking around.
"M-Much better." She said with a slightly awkward chuckle. "Thanks." She tilted her head a bit. "Um, where did you find them?"

You hesitated. You didn't want to embarrass her by telling her she had had them the whole time. But, you didn't want to lie to her, either.
You told her that they had been right behind her. After all, that was the case.

"O-Oh my! Thank goodness I didn't step on them!" She said, adjusting her glasses slightly. "I'm so clumsy, I'm k-kinda surprised I didn't..."

You told her you were glad that she had her glasses back in their proper place now.

"S-So, um...Since you're here, do you...Wanna w-watch some anime?"

You smiled at her. You didn't really have anything else to do. You nodded.

She excitedly scuttled over to her bookshelf of DVDs, you following right behind her.

Being thankful for sight fills you with determination.
