Her Trouble

Chapter 9

Darren's P.O.V

It was a regular Thurday morning. However to day Nick my PA was acting very weird. Nick was one of my closest friends I had. After my lunch break, Nick came in with today's newspapers. He knocked on the door before coming in. 

Knock, knock, knock

"Come in"

"Sir, I have some exciting news for you." He had a huge grin on his face he also gave me a quick wink.

"Okaayy?" He left the page open for me and I read the title. 'NEW YORK'S NEW TYCOON.' I wasn't suprised about this new tycoon. Suprisingly it was actually a woman. I saw her name and it was Lucy Grahams. I decided to see how this new tycoon looks like. There I searched for her and I saw her picture. She was beautiful. She was perfect. Then I decided to read about her.(More like stalking). She actually owned GRAHAMS.CO and she was a billionaire. I decided to get business partnership with her, so that our companies could combine and we would be perfect as partners. I decided to meet her. I had to. I called in her company and the line was directed to Lucy's PA. He agreed to schedule an appointment which was at night since she was busy with meetings during daytime. He said that I could have an appointment with her tomorrow but I wanted to meet her today. He scheduled the appointment at 10:15pm and I was fine with it.

I was so happy. I couldn't wait to meet Lucy. She looked so perfect in the picture, she may be an angel in real life. I finally finished my work at office today. I was super excited to meet Lucy. 

Traffic was terrible. It was already 10:15pm. Noooo I was late. Finally I reached after 10:30pm. Uh oh. I hurriedly made my way up to the 50th floor where her office was located at.  I reached her office and saw here name on the door written in gold:LUCY GRAHAMS, CEO. I opened the door and saw Lucy on the chair on snoring. I walked over to her, and sat down. She looked so cute in her sleep, I couldn't help but snap a picture of her. I was just staring at her admiring her beauty and her. Suddenly she let out a groan which scared me but it was so cute. She got up and immediately looked into my eyes. Our eyes locked for a moment and then she broke eye contact. Then she looked up and decided to continue studying my facial features. Her jaw just dropped and I couldn't help but notice it. I decided to start a conversation with her.

"Are you done drooling over me Mrs Grahams?" She started blushing and looked down to the floor. Then she saw her posture and tried to act formal although she failed terribly. 

"W-what d-do you m-mean? How long were you staring at me? You are not supposed to stare at me when I'm sleeping!" She was too cute and I was honest with her.

"I know you liked it Mrs Grahams." I had a smirk on my face and I did not know why. Suddenly she just rolled her eyes at me. What!

"Did you just roll your eyes at me Mrs Grahams! Nobody has ever did that to me." I tried to be over dramatic.

"Well make me the first one." She had a huge grin on her face which was adorable. I liked it she was confident. Suddenly from a huge grin she was panicking. It was scaring me.

"Are you ok Mrs. Grahams?" I was really concern about her.

"Yes, yes I'm fine. Now what brings you here?"

"You. I-i mean business partnership." Shoot. I spoke what my heart wanted me to say noooo. You don't need to make your decision immediately Mrs Grahams. I can come again tomorrow?" Honestly I just wanted to see her again.

"Oh. Thank you, Mr Smith." Her voice was so angelic. So soft. Oh my god. How is she so perfect?

"No problem. And by the way" I leaned in closer and her face was extremely close to me. "Call me Darren."

 She leaned back against her chair pulling herself away from me. She tried to hide her face because she was blushing.

"Y-you can call me Lucy." She was stuttering and I smiled in response.

Suddenly the phone rang. She cleared her throat and answered the call. 

"Hello tiger. How's my little angel doing?" Her dad asked over the phone.

She face palmed herself because her dad was embarrassing her infront of me.

"I'm fine dad."

"I guess you're coming back late today. Again." Her dad was sad by the way he spoke. 

"Don't worry dad. On the weekends I will go out with you guys, don't worry."

"It's just that I miss the times when you used to jam out in the car like crazy. How you would make a lot of noise and I miss it."

"I know I'm one crazy kid dad. Don't worry dad."

"Okay tiger. I'll see you at home. Goodbye my little angel."

"Goodbye dad."

It was so funny about what her dad said over the phone. How she would jam out and all that crazy stuff. Wow. I tried my best to hold my laughter. 

 She shifted her gaze up to me. I wanted to be honest with her so I decided to ask her about the crazy stuff.

"You've gotta show me your crazy side Lucy. I can imagine you...hahahahahahaha" I burst into laughter.

"Yea yea. It may be worst than your imagination." Wow she wasn't shy to admit her craziness.

"I really like this place."

"Thanks. Umm.. I'm about to leave. So umm do you have anymore important things to discuss?"

"No. Let's go."

She walked towards her elevator and I followed her. I couldn't stop staring at her. It was an awkward elevator ride.

"Sweet rideee." I've gotta admit it really was a nice car.

"I know it's my baby. But I like yours too. It's cool."

"Like me." I said proudly .

She just rolled my eyes at me. Then I pulled her into a hug. It was so nice. After a while I let go.

"Goodnight Lucy."

"Goodnight Darren"

With that we both went home. I couldn't stop thinking about her. I think I'm in love. Yes I am in love. She is mine. And I would do anything to make her mine.
