chapter 4

Kono's pov
For the next 2 months Steve and me stayed professional at work still and Chin and Danny had stopped being mad for not being told for so long.

They both kept quite about mine and Steves relationship at work and were helping us try get lori off the team.

We were currently all at Steve's out back, Steve was cooking stake on the BBQ Danny was with him and grace was here also.

"How you feeling cuz" Chin asked sitting next to me.

"I'm good" i said.

"It's really good to see you so happy" he said.

"Yeah" i said and smiled putting my hand on my small bump.

"Steve looks really happy too" He said.

I nod.

"His super over protective now tho" i said and laughed.

"I noticed, he was always protective of all of us but now his like over protective of you, he does it cause he cares" he said.

"I know" i said and smiled.

He nodded.

"You really love him don't you" Chin asked.

I nod. "Yeah i really do his amazing you know his all hardass and seal inside and outside of work, but with me his different at home" i said.

He nods understanding. "He loves you too his proven that" he said.

I nod.

30 minutes later

We were all sat round the table eating and having a laugh, it was nice to be able to just chill with my family and be able to be myself with Steve.

"You ok babe?" Steve asked.

"More then ok" i said and smiled at him.

"Gross" Danny said and we all laughed.

Later that night
Steve's pov
After everyone had left me and Kono relaxed on the couch watching tv, i had my hands on her small bump as her back was against my chest.

Her hands were over mine holding them against her bump.

"What do you want it to be?" i asked.

"A girl" she said.

I chuckled "of course shouldn't of asked" i said.

She laughed. "What about you?" She asked.

"I don't really mind as long as it's healthy, but a boy would be nice, I'd name him after my dad" i said.

She looked up at me. "That's sweet and i bet your dad would be proud" she said.

I smile. "i hope so I'm sure his looking down on us....just wish he got to meet you and meet his grandChild" i said rubbing her bump.

She nodded understanding.

"I love you" i said.

"I love you too Steve" she said snuggling back in to my chest.

Neither of us made it to bed that night and fell asleep on the couch.

The next morning
I was first awake and carefully got of the couch.

I wen't for my morning swim and enjoyed the feel of the ocean.

I swam out pretty far before turning and heading back.

Once i got back on land i dried up before heading inside and making some breakfast while Kono still slept.

Kono's pov
I wake up to hands on me and a voice.

"Kono? Babe wake up i made breakfast and then we need to head to work" i heard Steve's voice.

I open my eyes slowly.

"Hey" Steve said whine looking down at mw and moving hair from my face.

"Mmm'hey" i mumbled sleepily.

"Come on sleeping beauty breakfast in ready" he said.

I nod. "Give me a minute" i said.

He nodded and kissed my head before going im to the dinning room.

I got up and got dressed ready for the new day to start.

I head over to the dinning and we eat breakfast.

"You all set" Steve asked.

I nodded and kissed him.

He smiled against my lips and kissed back.

"Let's get to work before Danny rants at me for being late" he said and i laughed.

"Danny will rant at you anyways" i said.

"Good point" he said and laughed.

I smiled "you're so handsome" i said.

"Thank you my lady" he said.

I laughed.

"Come on you weirdo let's get going" i said.

We got in our cars and headed to work.
