Braving Myself For Her

I'm braving myself for her
The tears salty as they run
I'm turning back time
To the day it started

She told me to be brave
I told her to stay
She said 'all hope is lost'
I said ' It's really not'

Her face told me to run
My heart told me to stay
But of course I didn't listen
I ran anyways

I left her in the middle
Stuck without a clue
She sacrificed herself
And I was on the move

Her last words were 'be brave'
Mine were 'i always am'
I didn't prove that
As it ended when I ran

And now I stand in robes
A coffin full of Roses
An image in my head
Her lifeless body lay

I knew I should of stayed
She told me to be brave
I knew I should of turned around
As soon as I heard the gunshot sound

I'm braving myself for her
No more salty tears
I'm skipping forward time
To when it all ended
