Acquaint Pt. 2

Jungkook P.O.V.

I'm in my office space talking to Namjoon as he's asking me yet again when I think I'll find my mate.

"JUNGKOOK ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME??" Namjoon yells waving his hand in my face

"Umm sorry, what was that?" I say sheepishly realizing I had spaced out

"Ahh jinjja, you spaced out again. I asked when you think you'll find your mate? The others are starting to wonder too. It's like you don't even want a mate, honestly" he said with exasperation

I glared at him standing up from my desk knocking the chair over 

"You seriously think I don't want a mate?! I've told you before, but I guess I have to tell you again. I don't want to claim some pack slut as a mate just to have one" I said angrily

I sigh "I want to find my mate that the moon goddess chose for me....it's just taking longer than I expected it to. But I know I'll find him or her when the time is right"

All of a sudden Hoseok comes barging into the room with an unreadable expression on his face 

"Alpha we have an intruder in custody in the commons area, we found him this earlier this morning. He claims he isn't here to do harm but we need you do make the decision of what we do with him"

Immediately I got up and followed him to the room where they said the intruder was. I opened the door and this intoxicating scent of honey and roses filled my senses. I look around the room to find the source of the scent and my eyes land on the most beautiful boy I've ever seen. He seems to have noticed the scent too, he looks around and then locks eyes with me. I find it odd that the others aren't curious about the scent, but my wolf awakens and screams "MATE" in my mind. It seems that this boy is my mate, and suddenly his eyes widen in realization of what I am to him and his wolf.

I smirk as I slowly walk over to him, and circle him before whispering to my beta

"Namjoon, this boy is my mate. I have finally found the one for me, it isn't the best circumstance for us to meet but I guess it will do."

Namjoon just stared at me in disbelief

"Alright gentlemen, you can release him I will deal with him myself. Given that we've all sensed that he is an omega I don't think he will manage to cause much harm to anything. He's part of this pack now" I say smiling

The pack members send each other questioning looks and finally leave the room.

I get closer to the boy in the room with me, him still gazing anywhere but me.

"So, it seems that you are my mate. Care to tell me your name?" I say while staring at him

He looks up at me "M-My name is Tae-Taehyung sir" he says nervously

"Ahh a beautiful name for a beautiful boy. My name is Jungkook. Listen baby boy, there's nothing to be nervous about here. You are my mate, I will not harm you in any way and I promise I will protect you from anyone that may try to hurt you."

He started forward to seemingly hug me but stops before making contact, and I see there are tears in his eyes. I wonder why such a beautiful creature would be crying such sad tears.

"Please love, tell me why you are crying" I ask gently, wiping the tears from his cheeks

"A-At my old pack I was abused b-because I'm a male omega. All of the higher ranked wolves wanted to t-take advantage of me. It stopped once the alpha took an interest in me. H-His mate had been killed during a rogue attack last year s-so he decided to use me to take out his frustrations" he said shamefully

Hearing this infuriated me. Some bastard took advantage of a helpless omega just because he wanted someone to fuck. It's pathetic and disgusting.

I hugged Taehyung close against me, gently tracing circles on his back to calm him. I quietly say in his ear "It's okay baby, I won't let anyone hurt you again. Especially not that bastard that took advantage of you."
