"Why doesn't anyone ever listen to me" my brother Nico growls. Me and my other brother Uriah smile at each other before sprinting off racing to catch the deer first. "When I'm alpha you will both listen to me" he says before charging after us into the unknown forest.

I'm faster then both off them, female wolfs tend to be faster then male and because of my alpha blood I'm even faster. Although female are faster, males are stronger but what can your strength do if you can't catch up, am I right? I gain on the deer before sinking my teeth into it. I frown when the blood gets on my fur coat ruining it's dark brown colour.

'Ah damn I was so close' Uriah says mind linking with me. I smell bullshit.

'Okay you've both had your fun now let's go' Nico says, his voice laced with authority. I just roll my eyes, he's not alpha yet, he can't boss me around. I hear a branch crack and all our heads snap in the direction. 'Esme'.

'Can you smell that?' I ask turning towards them. The smell is the most natural thing to me but yet unfamiliar. 'More Wolves'

I hear a loud growl and step back digging my paws into the ground ready to pounce at anything. Is this another packs territory? My senses heighten and I suddenly smell the scent of wolves, the rival pack?

Three wolves emerge from the trees and my brothers growl. We could take them on no doubt but there's no need to start a fight for nothing and we could easily get ambushed, for all we know there could be more hiding, waiting for the signal to charge. Plus dad would kill us if we stirred trouble with an unknown pack.

'Lets go' I say turning my back which was properly the worst decision I have ever made... this week. One of them pounced on me but Nico blocked him, knocking the wolf back to the ground. I regain my footing before lashing at my attacker but before I could Nico was already onto him.

The two other wolves ran to Uriah, he got knocked to the floor with the two of them on him. I ran to him and bit into one of them causing them to whine and fall to the ground, the wolf seemed young, too young to be on patrolling duties. The wolf howled calling his pack so I quickly nudged Uriah to get him up and starting running back, Nico following close behind. When we were far enough and certain they hadn't followed us we changed into our human form, changing into our clothes that we left behind.

"That was close" Uriah sighed.

"Close? We could've been killed! Next time I say to not go running off like that you need to listen to me, both of you" he says growling. I can tell that he's mad because of the twitch in his jaw, that and his closed fists at his sides.

"Nico it's okay. We are perfectly fine, we don't have a scratch on us" I say hooking an arm over his shoulder. "We kicked some ass back there" I grin. He growls at me and walks away towards our house which is at the end of the village. I roll my eyes and follow him smiling at people as we walk past. "Nico it's not our fault, maybe next time they should have a sign saying the land is claimed. It'll save a lot of trouble in the future" he ignores me and goes into the house, he holds the door for me and I smile. No matter how mad you make Nico he will still be a gentlemen, then there's Uriah who wont only not open the door for you but push through to get inside first.

Nico huffs while running his hands through his hair, it's becoming a habit. He gets so stressed, I know it's because he's worried about becoming the alpha but I wish he would loosen up a little. I miss the old Nico who was rebellious like me and if he keeps doing that he's gonna be bald.

"Where have you guys been?" My dad asks walking into the room, I instantly straighten my posture. He eyes us curiously as if he can look into our souls and discover what we were doing. The thought makes my shiver.
