Next morning, Shivaay woke up and saw his brothers and sisters-in-law were awake, having tea but looking nowhere in particular. Bhavya saw him and straightened up.

Bhavya: Good morning bade bhaiya. Aap kab uthe? Hume toh pata hi nahi chala. (Good morning bade (Shivaay) bhaiya. When did you wake up? None of us realised.)

Rest of them, too, straightened.

Shivaay: Bas, abhi hi aankh khuli. (I woke up just now.)

Gauri: Bade bhaiye, aap chai peeyenge? (Bade bhaiya, will you have tea?)

Rudra: Chulbul bhabhi, bhaiya sirf espresso peete hain. Bhaiya, main aapke liye espresso leke aata hoon. (Chulbul bhabhi, bhaiya only drinks espresso. Bhaiya, I'll get you an espresso.)

Shivaay: It's okay Rudra. Mujhe nahi chahiye. (It's okay Rudra. I don't want it.)

Om: Shivaay, tu ne kal se kuch nahi khaaya hain. Teri tabyat kharab jo jaayegi. (Shivaay, you haven't had anything since yesterday. You'll get sick.)

Shivaay: I'm fine Om.

Dr Sharma comes there. Everyone springs up from their seats seeing him.

Om: Doctor, Mahi kaise hain? (Doctor, how is Mahi?)

Dr Sharma: Unki haalat main kaafi improvement hain. Unhe room main shift karne ke baad aap unse mil sakte hain. (There's a great improvement in his health. You can meet him after we shift him into the room.)

They sigh in relief. Dr Sharma leaves from there. After some time, ShivOmRu go to Mahi's ward. As he entered , Shivaay got flashes of the few moments he spent with Mahi on Holi. He sat beside his bed and held his hand. Mahi slowly opened his eyes. Om was the first to notice.

Om: Mahi...

Shivaay saw him conscious. At first, he didn't know how to react. Should ask if he is feeling better? Or should he apologize for not recognizing him as his brother? Or thank him for saving his life? Or scold him for putting his own life in danger? Tears, unknowingly, made way into his eyes. Mahi smiled sadly and lightly hit his arm.

Mahi: Rona band kar. Abhi apun jinda hain. (Stop crying. I'm still alive.)

Shivaay: *sniffles* Kya zaroorat thi mere liye apni jaan khatre main daalne ki? (Why did you risk your life for me? What was the need?)

Mahi: *teary-eyed* Tu apun ka bhai hain. Tere liye sau goli khaa sakta hoon likin tujhe kuch ho, yeh soch bhi nahi sakta. I'm bad, not very bad. (You're my brother. I can take a hundred bullets for you. But I can't bear the thought of anything happening to you. I'm bad, not very bad.)

Shivaay: *angry and crying* Nahi, you're very bad. You're very, very, very, very, very, very, very bad. You're very... (No,  you're very bad. You're very, very, very, very, very, very, very bad. You're very...)

He couldn't complete as his emotions over-powered his words. Mahi placed his hand on his shoulder. Shivaay hugged him and broke down, crying hysterically. Mahi was taken aback for a minute but he regained his composure. He ran his fingers through Shivaay's hair.

Mahi: Shivaay?

Shivaay didn't respond.

Mahi: *complains* Shivaay, baccho ko tarah kaayeko ro rela hain? *to OmRu* Yaar, tum dono samjha na isko. (Shivaay, why are you crying like a baby? Guys, tell him something.)

OmRu, too, hugged him while he face-palmed himself.

Mahi: Deva-re-deva! Apun tum logo ke saath raha na, toh pakka apun ke bheje ka gangaraam ho jaayega. (Oh my god! If I stay any longer with you all, I will definitely lose my mind.)
