The smell of bacon and eggs pulls you from a deep sleep making you roll over and reach for your boyfriend only to find he isn't there. Your eyes slowly flutter open and you look around to see that he wasn't in your room. You whimper as you roll back over to look grab your cell phone and check the time. You groan in annoyance at the earliness. Sitting up you feel your body ache and you smile softly as you remember the amazing night you and your boyfriend had had just the night before. Wrapping the sheet around your naked body you stand up and silently walk toward the amazing smell.

You follow it to see you boyfriend finishing the last touches on two plates full of breakfast. He was shirtless, but was wearing a pair of Captain America pajama pants you had had specially made for him. You smile lovingly at the sight before he looks up from the plates to see you and smiles. "Dammit (Name), I wanted to surprise you." He says placing his hands on his hips.

"Oh, do you want me to go back to bed and forget I saw all this?" You ask jokingly making him cock an eyebrow at you.

"No," He says quickly crossing the floor too you. Without so much as a warning he swoops down and with his shoulder catches you in the stomach and lifts you over his shoulder making you cry out in shock as he carries you back to the bedroom.

"Ah!! Food Steve!" You call out as you reach for the abandoned plates.

"We can eat in a minute." He replies as he walks back into your room and flipping you off his shoulder sets you on the bed with a thump. His eyes wash over you causing a red tint to glaze your cheeks. He smiles seductively before he climbs onto the bed with you. You watch as he lays down beside you and says, "Close your eyes."

"Why?" You ask eyeing him curiously.

"It's a surprise," He says and you narrow your eyes but do as your told.

"Okay, they're closed. What-" Your words are cut off as his lips touch yours. Your hands move on their own as they reach up and wrap around his neck pulling him in closer. Before you could deepen the kiss more he pulls away and says, "I wanted to wake you up with a good morning kiss."

"Aw, how cheesy. I love it." You say as your eyes slowly open to look at him.

"I also want to be the first thing you see every morning." He adds and your face turns serious as your heart starts to race.

"Steve, where are you going with this?" You ask and he pushes up off the bed to kneel next to the bed. You shoot up into sitting position as your mind tries to comprehend what is going on.

"(Name), we've been dating for a couple years now... No that isn't right... Let me try this again, it sounded so much better when I was practicing."

"Steve,"

"Right sorry," He clears his throat and meeting your eyes says, "(Name), You are the only thing that makes me want to get up in the morning. When I walked into that diner and first saw you, your hair a mess, probably wanting to murder everyone in sight, you were having a bad day that day but it didn't stop you from being kind to every customer there. It was your smile that originally caught my eye, but your kind heart and beautiful soul made me fall for you. We met that day, you almost dropped a plate full of pancakes on my lap because you were staring so hard."

"Hey!" you call out happy tears filling your eyes. "You were staring too."

"And for good reason." He adds making you giggle. "We exchanged numbers and had our first date that weekend. We went to dinner at a restaurant you had been dying to go too."

"The food was so bad." You add making him chuckle at the memory. "Yeah, I'm not gonna lie it was bad; but the company was perfect. Then we took a train to the pier and walked down it just talking about our lives."
