4 | Suddenly

"Hey Nalani" I hear

I have no idea who it is but I'm guessing it's a Nico friend

I smiled "hey"

My hair flew across my face as a skater skated his way past me in who knows how fast. My eyes scope the whole skatepark, my ears hearing all the cuss words ever invented- all said by these skaters in beanies and broken arms.

"Hey sweet pea" He rolled right past me with gun fingers and a smile, it would've been cute except he wasn't looking where he was going causing him to trip on one of the rails.... ouch

I laughed but after laughing I jogged towards Nico "You good?"

He gave me a glare then followed by a smile "Nice laugh"

I nudged "Nice trick, what's this one called? Impress and press your face on the floor?"

"Hey, no need to get all mad"

I shrugged with a smile "You done with your shift?" Nico questioned as he dusted off all the dirt that came upon his pants when he fell

I nodded "Thank god! Busy day at the store and I honestly need more than a break. I need like a huge strawberry milkshake with a cherry on top from Aptos Beach"

"That's quite specific" Nico chuckled

I rolled my eyes as we walked our way towards their spot at the skatepark with Koda and Joel "Everywhere else is fine but my favorite milkshake spot would be at the beach! It's sweet but it's my kind of sweet"

"Ahh it must be super sweet then, knowing you my super sweet is your 'it's not even that sweet' Misses Sweet tooth" He leaned in towards me his eyes connecting with mine

I just smiled

"Nalani!" I hear a call from Koda

I smiled "Koda Kokain" I called him by his rapper name, kind of stupid but it's actually pretty funny and accurate since rappers do that typa stuff

"Nalizzle fashizzle from the nizzle in her bizzle" Koda so called rapped with one hand on on top of his upper lip and the other spinning a fake disc

"Joel" Our handshake that went a little like: high five, flip high five, one two three hand claps and a lock of the index finger finished off by an imaginary soccer ball pass

"It's hella cool how Nalani's hella cool with Nico's friends" I heard one of the two blurt, I didn't mind it but it's only right for me to be cool with Nico's friends since I'm around all of them so often

"Yeah yeah and how she has her own thing with them like the rapping thing with you, the soccer handshake with Joel, the little dance with Nate, and how Aramis and her automatically know what the other person is talking about even when we don't." Nico pointed with his index and pinky

"You got nothing? You got nothing with Nico?" Joel and Koda asked at the same time looking at me then back at Nico

Nico and I made eye contact, nodding at each other

Nalani: "And no one knows"

Nico: " how far it goes"

Nico: "I just need the time and place to come trough"

Nalani: "Send me your location, let's ride the vibrations"

We stopped for a second
