Yuuki Miaka was an ordinary 9th grader. She was drawn to an ancient Chinese book, "The Universe of the Four Gods." Accidentally, she visited the city of Konan, in the unknown world. Miaka's classmate, Yui, became fascinated by "The Universe of the Four Gods." A man named Tamahome, with the character of the ogre on his forehead, found Miaka. Then, the Emperor, Hotohori, ordered his soldiers to arrest them.

   (Hotohori) She is the one who shall obtain the power of Suzaku! She is our empire's

   protector, the Maiden of Suzaku!

   (all) Thank you very much, Maiden of Suzaku!

Miaka became the legendary Maiden of Suzaku.

Yui: "The girl became the Maiden of Suzaku."

Yui: "At the palace she fell asleep and dreamed."

*** Miaka starts to dream. ***

brother: Miaka!

brother: Miaka!

Miaka: Brother?

brother: Miaka.

Miaka: Brother!

Miaka: I want to go back!

Miaka: Brother, hurry and take me back to my world!

Miaka: Tamahome!

Miaka: What are YOU doing in MY room?
