Miaka could hardly wait to see Tamahome. But his personality had been changed by Nakago's drug, Kodoku. Tamahome had no memory of his past, and was battling Tasuki to the death. Miaka and her companions broke the barrier using Chichiri's magic and were able to return to Konan.

    (Miaka) Goodbye.

    (Yui) Tamahome!

Deep within Tamahome's heart, Nakago's drug could not erase the memory of Miaka.
