Sweet Somethings

They bickered back and forth,
Each spoke a curse word or two,
Laughing in between at regular intervals,
While cursing all the way through.

Their English teacher shushed them up,
But they paid no heed,
For they argued with hushed words,
And enjoyed it indeed.

Lunch soon came and they met again,
And sat side by side,
And laughed at their yesteryears,
While tears rolled down and died

Years passed and they stayed in touch,
Each day awaiting with something,
They grew grey hair and wrinkles masked their faces,
But they continued to bicker with sweet nothings.
