Love vs. Destiny// Grayson Dolan

I woke up to the noise of the books falling from the bookshelf in my room. I immediately tried to find the cause of this noise and I saw someone. For a minute I thought it was Grayson. But it wasn't. He looked different. So I screamed so loud. Screamed at the top of my lungs.

"Aaaahhhhhh! Who are you?! Huh!? Why do you look so damn similar to Gray?!" I said and got up my bed.
"Look. I can explain." He said and tried to do gestures of "calm down. I'll explain it to you." So I calmed down and tried my best to listen to him. And try not to kill him.

"Wait aren't you Ethan?" I asked

"Okay yes my name's Ethan. And I'm sure you know that.I'm Grayson's twin brother. I came here because I got up early and I have nothing else to do. So I decided to go explore all the rooms in the house and yours was the last one. I didn't mean to invade your room privacy but I thought It was okay to go and check your books And you know, try to read my boredom out. Although I barely read." He said

"Also. We need to talk to you. Grayson and I are waiting for you to wake up. I guess you were exhausted from yesterday from what Grayson said." He continued

"Talk about what? " I asked

"I think we need to go downstairs and let me and Grayson talk to you. I also think you'll understand it better if We were both there to talk you. It is something urgent." He said and went to the living room.

I went downstairs, without even fixing myself

As I went out of my room, a delightful smell welcomed me  and somehow it smelled delicious. And I went to see Grayson cooking. Oh my gosh. If you can only smell the aroma of the food he's cooking. You'd be drooling right now.

"Mmmm. That smells good." I said and sniffed the smell of it.
"It's just bacon and eggs and pancakes Eanna." He said and smiled

I went right next to him and looked that it was waffles not pancakes.

So I corrected him"gray. It's pancakes."
"Uh. Pretty sure it's waffles babe." He said
Oh boy that word. I just I don't know. I always blush whenever he says that. I just want it casual but sometimes he would tease me by saying babe to me. But deep down, I was loving it. But I'm not gonna tell him that now do I?

"You know what. Fine. Whatever you call it. As long as I get to eat it. I'm starving." I said as I rubbed my tummy.
He softly chuckled. Ah. That sweet sound. I could listen to him chuckle all day and I wouldn't get tired of it.

"So uh. I'm kind of hungry too." Ethan said
"Well uh I made you a different delicacy to devour on." Grayson said and handed something to Ethan.

Grayson gave me a plate with bacon and eggs and , as he said, the "pancakes."

"Thank you." I said and smiled
"Welcome" he said and kissed the side of my head.

"Aren't you going to eat gray?" I asked as I used the fork to get the "pancakes."

"I already ate. " he said

In the middle of me eating. Ethan blurted out

"Okay look. We're kind of wasting time here." He said and got out of his chair and faced me to him.

"Look Eanna. We both know. There are existing vampires. Cause uh. You killed my comrades once in a while." He said

"Comra-" he cut me off

"let me finish. We need your help. You're the chosen one. The one who, is said in the prophecy, will defeat the boss. And the Boss? He is one powerful vampire. How do i know? Because I'm his right hand guy. I'm a vampire. And so is Grayson." He said

"Wait wha-" he cut me off again!

"And we need you to release your powers before it's too late." He said

"Look." He was about to cut me off again but I placed my hand in his mouth to shut him off a little bit.
"I don't know if you're doing drugs or you're just fictionally caught up with these weird things. I mean the part about vampires existing? I believe. But me being the chosen one? And you being a vampire and also Grayson? Nope. And me having powers? Yeah double nope." I said and drank water and got up and started talking again

"I know you're Grayson's brother. But I think you're mental. You're crazy. You say such idiotic and fictional things. I'll just take a shower and maybe take some time off till we're sane and in our right minds and then we'll talk." I said and was About to leave when he quickly went in front of me and blocked the way.

"What the-" i said

"Okay. I know you're a little bit surprised and confused. But I did not risk my life just so that you could call me crazy and mental and you thinking everything I say is just bogus! Considering the fact that you don't have your damn powers, which means you are completely a human, I could easily kill you. " Ethan said

Grayson also quickly went beside me and tried to stop Ethan.

"Okay bro. Calm down. We're just stressed about the Boss of yours. Okay? Just calm down." Grayson said and tapped Ethan's shoulder.

I heard Ethan sigh and tried to talk again but Grayson did it first

"Eanna. What he's saying,Is true. I'm.. *gulps* a vampire." He said
"Oh come Grayson. Stop playing with me like that." I said and was in utter disbelief that he would believe his brother. I mean yeah they're brothers but come on.

"Eanna you HAVE to believe me. Believe us. We're all in danger if you don't do something about you getting your powers. " Grayson said and he looked concerned

And the way his eyes looked, I knew he was telling the truth.

"I think I need to sit down." I said and Grayson helped me in sitting down on the sofa.

"But.. how? " I asked as I looked and stared at Grayson and Ethan

"Okay your parents? They're vampires. They were killed by the Boss in order for him to kill you. And not get his plans sabotaged and ruined. But somehow. You weren't killed. Until now,no one knows why and how that happened. When he tried to kill you again at that time Mr. Milton was able to go rescue and save you. Temporarily the Boss was hurt. And Mr. Milton? He raised you. Because it is his duty to do so. He's also a vampire but half. All of his families, i mean you're whole family is a vampire. And you might be wondering why you haven't noticed is because Of a liquid potion that we drink if we want to be undetected as vampires. But anyways. Recently the Boss knew where Mr. Milton was living at that time and decided to move here. And I'm here because before, I was supposed to spy on you and kill you at your most vulnerable stage. But it didn't work, because you're still alive. Grayson made me realize that I can still change the world through peace and no violence at all. I should win a nobel peace prize award or something. We need your help. You're our last hope to defeating the boss." Ethan said

After a few minutes of buffering all the many information that was fed to me. It all sank in my mind.

"Me? A... a... vampire? The chosen one?" I said to myself.

"I know it sounds unbelievable but it's true Eanna." Gray said.

I sighed and decided to go with this. I still have a hint of doubt but it all seemed real.

"So how do I get my supposed powers?" I asked them

"We don't know how exactly but we're gonna figure it out. We're going somewhere." Ethan said

"Okay." I said and just went to my bathroom. And took a bath. I just needed some peace time.

"What is happening? " I said and just sat there in the bath tub.

A/N: never expected for this chapter to be long. But I wanted it to be long so that I can give more details than usual to you guys. Happy reading ❤️
