if breathing and living
is the same
as giving someone a chance
to break your heart
should i stop and just die
cause i see her and her broken heart
but it seemed like she lost more
and i wonder why love
can be so sought after
if everyone's bound
to end up barely breathing
as they hold on to something
that was never even there before
and i see her and her sadness
but she tries her best to disguise it
as something other than a proof of his absence and broken promises
so i wonder why love
can make anyone believe that
it's a necessity for living
why love just takes advantage
of those who couldn't see through
the ideal of nothing
but everything all the same
cause if the beauty of love
is about a smile
that might never last
then maybe love is something
never worth a glance
