i was trying to find the right word
because goodbye wasn't really right
we were too much of something else
but too less for a good night
i was trying to change what might be
one part at a time
cause there we were under the streetlights
completing each other's rhyme
i was trying to reach unto tomorrows
cause yesterday is all that was
and here i thought
loving you with everything I had
was enough for the both of us
