you should've held on to me like you'll lose me tomorrow
you should've looked at me the same way you look at the stars
cause you just forgot me like we never had anything left to borrow
from what we left in each other's hearts
you should've said goodbye before you walked away
at least said goodbye
cause i deserved it for giving you more than enough reasons to stay
you should've looked back
and i may have ended things the way you wanted them to be
ignoring all the questions you left unanswered
but not the pieces you left me
