{8} Kageyama and [m/n]

Narrator's POV

"Hi" [m/n] greeted as he came to stop

"Hi" Kageyama greeted rubing the back of his neck "so why did you call me"

"o-oh, w-well you s-see i-i-i um..." what do i say what do i say!!

"why are you nervous?" he suddenly asks

"eh?... well why wouldn't i be, we haven't talked face-to-face" i pouted crossing my arms

"during our practice match when you saw me, you literally dropped the ball, ran to me calling me 'buruberi-chan' and then jumped into my arms wrapping your hands around my neck and legs around my waist, then you said 'nice receive' why should you be nervous now"

"......good point..." [m/n] said blushing hard thinking about when he had done that

"good, now tell me what you wanted to say" Kageyama says in a surprisingly soothing tone, calming [m/n] down

"well, the first thing is that i want to apologize"

"apologize? for what?

"in junior high, that match...

====================FLASHBACK====================

[m/n]'s POV

i was standing by the net in a position for blocking, even though i'm short i can still block muahaha, this time i won't be getting a ball from buruberi-chan, he'll have to toss it to kindai-chan or maybe kunimi-chan, i turn my head to see who was getting ready to get his toss, the smile on my face quickly vanished as i see that nobody is running to get the toss.

why aren't they moving i panicked, i look over at buruberi-chan and see that he has realized that nobody was there, not even me, i have never seen him look for scared and sad, noone was there, NOT EVEN ME! they all rejected him, i was about to yell at them when the whistle blew

"Kitagawa Daiichi, member change" the referee called, my face went pale, coach was swaping out Kageyama.

"Tobio..." i squeaked in a quiet voice, if i had been there, he didn't even look at me, why wasn't i there! i could only watch as he walked to the bench and sat down with his head held down, why couldn't i have reacted faster! damn it!  The game ended with us winning and we all went back to the school to have a meeting. As the coach was explaining some things to us i look over and see that Tobio still has his head down...

"why...?" i whispered still able to get their attention 

"what?" coach asked

i turn to look at kindaichi, kunimi and the others "back there, why didn't you get the ball?"

no answer they all just looked away

"[m/n] sto--" Tobio was interrupted by me

"No!" i yell "i know sometimes Tobio can be hard on us, but you didn't have have to rejcet him like this, that was going to far!" this was the first time they've seen me this angry "why couldn't you ju--"

"[M/N]!" Kindaichi yelled "stop it! we're all tired of Kageyama being an oppressive king, we're fed up with him, we can't deal with him like you."

"Oikawa, what's done is done, now we have to focus on tomorrows game" Coach adds. I glance at Tobio, this expression, I've never seen it better, is he sad, is he gonna cry, I can't tell. 

My head was facing down, my hands by my side with my fist clenched so tight my knuckles turned white and my hair covering my eyes, breathing heavily from my sudden outburst. 

"sorry" was all I said. Once the meeting was over Tobio and I walked back home together in silence.

Narrator's POV

"If I had been faster, then yo--"

"stop" Kageyama interrupted "I already told you, it's not your fault, it was mine, plus this is all in the past, just forget about." he says "but I should be the one to apologize, I never even thanked you, back in junior high, you were always by my side even when no one else was, you always stood up for me and even though I didn't realized it, I trusted you, i counted on you multiple times and you were there, I'm glad to have been you're setter" he smiles 

"You look cuter when you smile" [m/n] smiled, he felt so happy hearing this from him

"B-Boke! what are you saying" Kageyama blushes

"I'm saying, thank you for being my setter... and you should smile like this more often..." [m/n] moves closer to Kageyama and goes on his tippy toes and places his smol hands on Kageyama's shoulder and whispers into his ears "But only smile like this for me" [m/n] then gave him a quick kiss on the his ear, he looked at him once again and smirked "I look forward to tomorrows game, bye-bye" he winked and walked off leaving Kagayama even redder than a tomato, if that's even possible, [m/n] turned the corner and saw Karasuno waiting for kageyama, he simply smiled at them and walked of to meet up with his own team, soon after he vanished they saw Kageyama walking towards them, they all noticed the immense blush on his face and didn't even bother to ask questions. 

[m/n] finally catches up to his teammates with a smile on his face

"what did you do" Iwaizumi immediately asks

"Ehhh~ I didn't do anything" [m/n] whines

"that's a lie, now spill" Tooru says

"fine, I just had a chat with Tobio-chan, and now i'm even more pumped for tomorrow's game" [m/n] answers

 "we definitely won't lose" tooru and [m/n] say together.

I can't wait, tomorrow will be fun [m/n] smirked they are in for a surprise 

Well, that's it for this chapter, damn~ 2 updates in one sitting I am one a roll! Anyways can you guess what the surprise is? find out next chapter, when I write it cause I'm not sure what the surprise should be, lol, I have a bunch in my head
