Metals and their planetary/ astrological associations are an important aspect of witchcraft or Alchemy. Understanding what each represents is helpful in spell craft and rituals.
#1 Copper: Venus
Venus, known for its feminine energy which makes sense considering women absorb 20% more copper than men (but men absorb more iron than us!). Copper and iron are gender linked to the symbolism of their planets. When a women has her monthly cycle copper spikes in relation to oestrogen, when taking birth control oestrogen levels are emulated having an effect on serum copper levels. During pregnancy copper doubles its regular amount where as iron decreases.
Arts & music are associated with Venus, funny that alot of instruments are made of copper. Venus is also associated with the sea, and the copper salts remind us of this as they are all blue & green in colour and highly water soluble.
